I had a Craniotomy in '03 from a bigger tan a gof ball sized Meingioma, It grew back in 1 yr. so I had the Gamma Knife in '05 & instead of stopping it from growing or shrinking the tumor grew even tho the Gamma is 98 % effective on "most" people I was the 2 % it didn't work on. I had a 3rd. Gamma Knife procedure Jan., '09 & have had many seizures as the tumor is 1 milimeter for my motor skills. I hope you're doin ok now ? Thanx for posting this vid.
propgirlee---my 14 yr old was told her tumor was either a meningioma or a acoustic neuroma..we are getting another MRI to help further diagnose her. TY for this!!
@swtlilwamom You are welcome! I am happy to help others. May is brain tumor awareness month, by the way! sorry to hear about your daughter, brain tumors are not fun, but I was diagnosed back in 2007 and I am doing ok so I wish you and your daughter well!
Kristy wasn't trying to scare you, she was trying to raise awareness, letting people know that this disease exists because most people only know about brain cancer. I have this too and Kristy made this video for me. There is nothing you can do to prevent it, there is nothing wrong with saying that, its the truth so you should know that, people need to know that.
I hd heard through Meningioma Mommas that some research had shown it to be estrogen related...
I've had three brain surgeries over 7 years to deal with a recurrent malignant meningioma in the right parietal lobe.

@swtlilwamom Kristy made this video as a favor to me, I know her through mutual friends and I have multiple meningiomas.

I also had a huge meningioma and it was removed last June. Thanks for posting this video from Kristy to raise awareness about this.
