Fantasia singing it in a sermonic solo style and Ann nesby sing it more like a traditional hymnal style. So you really can't compare the two. Ann nesby sings it like she's leading praise and worship for a night service in a pentacostal church. Both versions are good but very different.

I know I was completely miffed that someone would act like Fantasia was the original person who sung this old time song here... I would bet good money that the original writer is unknown....I bet the person who was pumping up Fantasia is under 25 .....but more importantly its a shame that some can completely miss what's really going on and that is a good opportunity to be ministered to by this song and annointed vessel Ms Nesby....

Why don't we hear this song as often as we did a number of years. I remember this right after the devotional prayer when the senior deacon would get down on that right knee and lead the church to the throne of grace. We need to return to what church used to be.

I have come to learn that some ppl don't consider a song as being well sung unless the person singing is screaming. All songs does not have to be sung to the top of your lungs in order to be effective or touching. I think no matter what type voice you have if you are sincere in your delivery it was a blessing to the listner. It all really comes down to your individual taste, plain and simple. Fantasia screams too much.Ann Nesby has an old school soulful voice that i like and i am a young person.
