  • Ok, I can't even do a handstand let alone 1 arm handstand. But I still think that your performance sucks! Why? B'coz first thing if people can not act as good as movie stars that doesn't mean that they can not criticize a bad movie/play/performance. So stop shouting at people and asking them to upload their videos. If you upload a video on youtube to become famous and hear praises be prepared for some criticism as well. Secondly right from the beginning your hand and your body is shaking (contd)

  • @MrDrashti The reason for that I think is that a one arm handstand is an incredible feat of strength, balance and poise. And I think that you didn't spend enough time on handstand pushups to build the basic strength needed for 1 arm handstand and rushed into the 1 arm handstand and the body alignment is also the reason as pointed by others. But still good work and this video is 4 years old so you can now upload a new and improved version of your 1 Arm Handstand work :)

  • @MrDrashti You seriously have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @MrDrashti why do you think that this is a performance?? you are so close but missed the point by so far. I am looking for and found many people to critic my training that you mikstake for performing. Second what makes you think i am on youtube to be famous and be praised? i live on vancouver island far away from the guy who first got me going, so i post vids and we help each other. If you have any usefull advise please im all ears oh and try not to shout at me

  • Phenom. Thats crazy strong. Good job.

  • You would last much longer if you train your posture!

  • @vuelalibre2 unless you can give me a video of your own as an example then you can join all the other idiots who have no idea what they r talking about. Can you balance on one foot for 40 sec????

  • @onearmhandstandman The guy above has a valid point though. Your head is too far away from your shoulder, making you use strength much more than necessary. Don't take my word for it, just go look at cirkus-artists who do this for a living, you will notice that my point holds water. =)

  • @Zpik3 I dont argue your technical advise looking back this video is 7-8 years old and i was self taught. The real question is why?? Prove you are not another smuck tell what i am missing - what strength, flexibility and drills should i do to fix it?? Oh and i would love a video exaple of yourself doing it then maybe you might stop trying to critic things you dont know much about =)

  • @onearmhandstandman I'll be the first to admit that I can't do a one-handstand. You are getting "critique" mixed up with "friendly advice". Nobody is ragging down on you, we are simply suggesting things that would make you even better. To explain it out of a biomechanical perspective: Bringing your head in to your shoulder, will straighten your spine along the axis of support in your body. This means you get more wight on organs designed for support. making it more stable.

  • @Zpik3 And as for drills, well drill it by doing it. Don't think there is any real progression needed here. Just try to remember to keep your head close to your shoulder. I have done some pairacrobatics in my time. And whenever you do one handed lifts, that is key. The force from a one handed lift and a one handed handstand are almost identical. You just have a lot more work to do with your own balance in a handstand.

Don't assume people who comment don't know anything. =|

  • @Zpik3 i appreciate any usefull tips/advise or critique i can get yours included. I get tired of ignorant people with stupid advise always claiming to be able. My real troubles was my shoulder flexibilty or a lack there of and as a result my shoulder angle was too closed that forced a straddle and some weird lines. On the up side it was great strength training =]

  • i can just manage to do a handstand for 10second :O I fail This Guy rocks

  • i can do the standerd handstand no trouble i just havent got the strenth for the one handed....best i have done so far is 4 secounds spose you have to start somewere

  • Great.

  • nice, must have been having a good day. Haha!

  • Massively impressive core strength and flexibility. Wish i had claim to that amount of skill, but most i can manage is about 12 seconds on one hand and no more than a minute and a half on two.

  • impressed. wow

    great feat!

  • outstanding O.o

  • also my right leg points towards the camera of my chest is facing the camera also, how do you point it to the floor? sounds stupid but i can't seem t odo it. is it a flexibility issue.?

  • @MemetronDaBboy Its hard to say without watching but my guess is u are straddling instead of star position. Try in a headstand to get the lines right then transfer to handstand. U are probably right about flexibility causing the troubles. work on your middle splitz, and straddle sit until your chest is on the floor. Send me a video and ill give u some pointers, good luck bro.

  • Very impressive. balance is topman. I do balance also longest is about 11 seconds, but my back seems to arch, is there anything you do to stop it arching? . It's not too much of a problem it just helps for the close legged stand

  • @MemetronDaBboy work on locking out your core muscle against a wall until you get the lines you want . Squeeze your hips, abs and gluts this should stop your arching problems. If you work on pushing taller that will help as well. Peace

  • @onearmhandstandman thanks. I got a video now watch?v=cuVkeQN7nm8

I beat my record on saturday but I still think It could look cleaner... any advice?? nsweet its the right foot..

  • @MemetronDaBboy bless it bruv

  • I just tried doing that using a wall to balance myself, then suddently my whole arm losened and slipped directly out of the shoulder joint, and i nearly fell on my head! luckely my shoulder didnt stay dislocated, it snapped back into its joint-socket when i fell onto the floor! kind of a scary experience

  • @Mudstersrocks I had that happen during a show. One of my canes snapped and i crashed on my head. Good times .

  • @onearmhandstandman Did you end up with any shoulder problems? I tried driving my car, but when I turn the wheel, it feels as if my shoulder wants to pop out its socket.

  • U probably separated your shoulder during your crash. I would highly recommend a good physio therapist. Strap ice bags to your shoulder 10 x a day for 10 min a time. Hit the pool and swim some laps in the mean time to strengthen with NO impact.

  • @onearmhandstandman ok! thanks for the advise, I dont have any place to swim right now, but once the summer comes around Il give it a try

  • @onearmhandstandman swimming would seem hazardous, if he can barely even turn a steering wheel he'd have a ton of trouble swimming some laps.

  • Sick !!!!

  • crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I want begin on my one ram Handstand today ,will be a lot work :)

  • is it easier on that stage as on normal floor?

  • a little.

  • it is because you have a little more grip with your hand

  • Its a lot easier. I have trashed my wrists over the years and dont do so well on the floor. Would recommend floor first.

  • @onearmhandstandman cool well i should get one of those cause ive only done one hand stand on floor and still cant control it enough...

  • Great job on your one arm and very appropriate music choice :) I still have a lot of work to do on my one arm. I am hoping to have one as solid as yours at some point.

To every stupid person who commented and implied that what he is doing isn't difficult, an intense amount of training goes into getting and maintaining this skill. To say otherwise only shows that you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • Thats soo hard congrats!!!!

  • thats intense, balancing on an object is beast!!

  • ????

  • Yo man, this is nice.

I was wondering how you would train yourself to do this? Do you have any tips at all.

My handstands are pretty much in top shape. I just dont quite understand how i would get a one handed handstand going.

  • Send me a video of what u can do and i will do my best to help. Show me a side view of a handstand, a press handstand if u can. For starters practice against a wall ( chest to wall) until u can hold for 60 sec on each arm

  • Yea, i will make a short clip of my handstand then ;)

    Do you have msn?

  • 43.. sick... I been practicing this for 3 months ... got 3 seconds. gonna try and improve 1 second per month. Might not sound much but... shit.. do you use straight back handstand in yours cus i can't see?

  • Wow!!!!!!

  • I'm pretty sure I can do it just as long minus 39 seconds :D

  • you know that the part beneat him is keeping him in balance so then it's just muscle and your feet in the air

  • I want to see you stand on one leg for forty seconds, somehow i dont think u could do that

  • tarzanISgreat do you understand the mechanics of a handstand at all? You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

  • the handstand is not difficult on that thing beneath him , the one handed is very difficult . Sorry my mistake .

  • mm i was feeling my mustache growing. hehehe

and yeah. that video was like months ago. haha

  • mustach???? what mustache?

  • You'd be hella dope if you bboy

  • how long does it take to hold one arm handstand for idk 8sec...how long do you practice handstands/ handbalance.? and is it easier to hold handstand on this things?

    thx for answers

  • This video was taken maybe a year into training handstands. Training 5 days a week 1-2 hours a day. I was also training hand to hand as well at the same time

  • i was afraid that peg was gna collapse, it looked so unstable! very good job

  • well it would be more amazing if you do it without the thing

  • lets see yours with or without canes

  • where you get one. So i can show you, im sure i can do like 5 or mroe seconds

  • i made them from 2 by 4s and L brackets

  • haha i can stand for 2 =)

  • i can stand for a good hour on both feet its amazing

  • i can stand about that long on one leg

  • :D good one

  • i want this handstang :D

    Peace

  • omg! this is insane!!!!!

  • cool!

  • Awesome hold! I just got a pair of stands and I'm trying to get use to them. Everyone keeps telling me that a one arm handstand is easier on them! (This is relatively speaking, of course)

  • they are called pegs, not supports

  • crazyness

  • hes got the supprots not flat ground none the less good

  • wow

  • this is all bullshit all these lil nerds sayign ' i can stand 10' , ' i can stand 3' i checked ur account u got lil runescape vids. seriously this is like one of the best feats a human can perform. standing on arm... ANd he did it for an extensive amount of time.. i can stand like 1.5 got a vid if u can check it and plz give me some pointers :D

  • dude that was awesome my record is 10 seconds lol

  • That was brilliant!!!!

You've got incredible blance and strength.

  • LooL i can stay just 3 second :))

  • sick vid

  • Its from Rocky

  • What song is this? I wanna make a funny video lol. Your video sick!!!! Gonna rate it 5/5

  • eye of the tiger

  • good balance, really nice

  • Wow! Where did you get your blocks from?

  • I made them with some 2 by 4s and l brackets

  • OK thanks

  • wow good balance ;) respect

  • i can do that they call me jessy gymnast

  • Erm, wtf. how are you doing this?!! so immense, what conditioning are you doing for them?

    Thanks, Josh

  • I started with holding two arm HS for about 5 min against a wall. Then went to one arm holds leaning against a wall for easy or beam for harder. Get somebody to spot for the first few months and you will learn a lot faster. Couple a tips push as tall as you can through your shoulder and squeeze like hell.

  • Nice tip. I'm going to try it now. :)

Do you have any specific advice for me (see my video)?

  • hey I can do that too but only 35 secs shorter

  • Really cool! Nice videos you have;)

  • awesome!!!!!!!!

  • wow,nice strength!

  • woww nice the coment before me he´s right is really easier to do that on this thing but nice of course!!!

    like that really

    peace

  • doing it on that thing .. is easier ..

its like having a bigger base ..

however .. still good job ^^

  • you have got good balance

  • Wow, that's awesome!

I can hold a one armed handstand on pegs too...... for like 3 seconds...... sometimes, lol. :)

  • I thought it used to be in the code. Oh well, it should be. It's difficult, risky, athletic and something the audience will enjoy. And it's safe too. Sheesh. Silly, FIG.

  • Awesome. Are you going to work to getting them legs together? on floor? Do you know of any videos of competetive gymnasts doing them in routines?

  • Jackie Bender in a beam rountine, Look in my favorites and several guys on p-bars (not at an olympic level its not the FIG code as a skill for men)

  • wow im adding you to my favourites and subscribing ...
