  • Every energy form has pros and cons. Coal is dependable and domestic, but reducing emissions is expensive. Natural gas is cleaner, but still emits carbon. Wind and solar are unreliable for meeting energy needs 24/7. Nuclear is the only technology able to producing carbon-free power on a large scale. The industry has an excellent safety record and a focus on continuous improvement. Maintaining a mix of sources is vital to meeting our region’s needs reliably, affordably and responsibly.

  • Lies, lies, and more lies. Nuclear is NOT "green" and the only "balance" in our energy supply that Progress is interested is the bottom line on their balance sheet.

We do "NEED" nuclear energy. It may be the most convenient and profitable way for PE but it is absolutely the most expensive and dangerous way for consumers. TMI, Chernobyl, and Fukashima were not suppose to happen but they did.

We need to be shutting these plants down, not building new ones.

This is not the way to go!
