  • the movie is awesome, but i had to pause every time the narrator said "300 feet" or "400 pounds", then go to google and convert it to METRIC so i could understand... Please, America, switch to metric system and stop using this useless, mindless, outdated, ridiculous, totally brainless shit known as imperial units, and join the rest of the world in an easy to use, logical and handy measurement system

  • Damn nature, you scary!

  • The narrator keeps talking about the north-west pacific, when he means the north-east pacific.

  • Is the song at starts at 1:02:00 the same song from Irobot?????

  • This is the first dinosaur extinction documentary I've seen that did a good job making you really feel sorry for the dinosaurs.

  • so fish and aquatic reptiles survived, how come mosasaurs and other aquatic dinos didn't survived. By the way I feel very depressed, I would pay every last cent of my money just to see these animals alive again, same goes with prehistoric mammals, birds, fish and reptiles.

  • @TheWilliamYap We all know how jurassic park went xD

  • so my question is...why did all the aquatic dinos die out? they should've survived in the ocean.

  • we might need to create an anti-asteroid defense system

  • @asdfqwervd lol that made my day

  • @asdfqwervd I'd take out the "might," actually.

  • I really doubt it happened in a day lol. For the impact and the surrounding area then yes but that would be a couple hundred miles and then whatever the Tsunami hits. Pretty sure their population would have declined even without this event, if you do some research they were on the decline due to climate change. So this event probably just accelerated it but it would still take many years for them to die out, so the title is rather misleading.

  • Love this Documentary. Thanks 4 uploading!

  • i'm glad i got to watch this! it was awesome! thanks for putting it up! where can i find this on dvd?

  • Comment removed

  • This documentary is very interesting and kind of well made, but it's just a fictional story according to me, and not that close to reality exactly. I can certainly say that I dont believe any non-avian dinosaurs went extinct during this theoretical time, I believe these dinosaurs might still be alive on our large planet, after all, we have only discovered around 1/6 of all living organisms on the planet, while dinos could cover maybe 2/6. This video is maybe well made but a little far fetched.

  • omg this video to amazing for me it was to amazing amazing im so happy i see the real history of dinosaurs omg thx you for this video !!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was an amazing documentary. I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen. ouo

  • Would've been better if you'd take off that annoying watermark

  • Ok, serious answers. When is the next large asteroid expected to impact Earth?

  • So Basically Dinosaurs Died gave Rise to Mammals...mmm Lets see...so Insects are Next?

  • i figured out how people can bring back dinosaurs.Go to a lake and scoop up ALOT of water, then test it for any DNA that hasnt been find yet in history, and mix it with frogs DNA (from JurrassicPark) and bam! You got a baby dino on the way!

  • This movie on my birthday omg

  • @hiccup4000 meaning your a bad luck to dinosaurs

  • If there wasn't the big extinction events in the past I think intelligent being would have evolved from raptors or some sort of avian species. Could you imagine being evolved from a reptile or bird? It would be cool if we had wings and could fly or had some cool reptilian attributes.

  • And I for one welcome our planet's reptilian lords

    And their messenger, David Icke.

  • poor barstards..they never saw it comming

  • I was sad that only a baby dinosaur is born only to die of hunger and alone, poor thing T_T

  • Now I want to see the Rifftrax version! :D

  • Humans are made from stardust, like the original humans we came from the stars and we went through evolution, and we destroyed this planet, we're destroying it just by living. Humans treat animals which belong to this world and we abuse and cage them in, not just animals but the earth too. Humans should die. :l

  • @thehasan1212 Original humans? We are the original humans, atleast with what fossils we have. Destroyed? Past tense, we are still living on this planet so it isn't destroyed yet. We do abuse animals, but we have developed laws of animal rights, which are designed to make it so we don't abuse them. The earth is fine, for now, we are changing what we do such as polution, to help solve this problem, humans shouldn't die, just be given more time, and all we need is 50-100 years.

  • Thanks for the nightmare fuel, Science!

  • it's funny how we've made all this as humans, and it's all thanks to a rock

  • @Anacondas101

That whole concept is funny, but it happens more often than you think. For example, I literally owe my very birth and existence to a traffic light, lol.

  • @SitaraAleu same, my parents met in my great great grandfathers funeral, there was somebody that was absent and my mother had the exchange him,

  • @moonwalker091000 Ok man, no problem. I know she is resting in peace ^_^ Sorry, I don't know where this museum is, because I'm from Brazil: D

  • wow i just watched it all and im thinking ok if only the meteorite didnt hit then i wouldnt be making this comment and i wouldnt be able to stare at the light in my living room would i?

  • why watermark it ? FAIL

  • @moonwalker091000 Thanks!

  • @Prehistoriclife65 Well I didn't find anything that made much sense, sorry. And sorry to hear about your cat, how sad :( Have u ever been to the museum in Drumheller? Its awesome.

  • @moonwalker091000 I haved a watch too. I seened a herd of herbivores like Triceratops, Alamosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Torosaurus, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, and Argentinosaurus running scared of predators. When I looked behind them, all the giant theropods were chasing them. I was in the veterinary with my cat in this dream. This dream happened 1 day after my cat died...

  • @Prehistoriclife65 What an interesting dream. Did you ever do any research to find out if it meant anything (dream interpretation books). I've had dreams as well on dinosaurs too, but not for many years now. I used to have them a lot when I was younger. Its funny, cuz I'd be walking around with them in the dream but I was never scared, just in awe of them. I'm going to see if I can find something about your dream. I'll you know. Enjoy yr weekend. :)

  • @moonwalker091000 Thanks man. I like people that have the same heart than me: D

  • @Prehistoriclife65 Did u have a favourite dinosaur growing up? I always loved the brontosaurus. I own a watch that has little brontosaurus on it. I saw it in Vancouver airport and just had to have it, it was so cute :)

  • The thing in Mongolia is utterly ridiculous; he keeps going on about how hungry the saurornithoides are starving, they've both eaten twice in the first few days after the meteorite hit... They're carnivorous reptiles, they can go weeks without eating and be absolutely fine.

  • @moonwalker091000 And we humans, are destroying the planet that the dinosaurs took care. Why isn't us that was already extinct?

  • @Prehistoriclife65 That is a question I keep asking myself too. They were very peaceful giants on our planet and took care of it for a long time. Much better than we are. Thank you for your comments :o) You also have a soft heart like myself when talking about dinosaurs :o)

  • This video is awesome, I loved it from start to finish as I feel its probably very realistic and accurate...

  • @moonwalker091000 A meteor that travelled for 100 million years, have to crash on Earth just in the dinosaurs age! For all dinosaurs, for me, all are cute, even the killers. They maked everything to survive, and them, when they think was finished, a 10 km meteor strikes!

  • @Prehistoriclife65 Yes and what they had go through after the meteor hit was so horrible, it caused fireballs raining from the sky, an earthquake of 11.0 on the scale, sandstorms, acid rain, tsunamis, lightning storms, which then caused forest fires and blazing temperatures, then a nuclear winter. I have to wonder: where was our beloved God almighty to allow this to happen to these giants that took care of our planet? Isn't our God supposed to love all creatures on earth? sad

  • @moonwalker091000 As the character doct. Ian Malcolm says in "Jurassic Park": "Nature selected dinosaurs for extintion". NOTHING on Earth lives forever. Mass extinctions are natural processes, so please leave God out of this matter.

  • @raffyclub My apologies. When I watched this show it made me very emotional towards dinosaurs in a way that no other show has done before. I meant no disrespect, that was not my intention at all. Now I keep wondering where they came from in the first place? How did they get here?

  • @Prehistoriclife65 They would have died out in a few thousand years anyway. As far as I remember it the world was going into one of its super volcanic phases when the meteorite hit... The last volcanic phase wiped out more species than the meteorite did; they basically flood the atmosphere with poison gas, heat the atmosphere to the point where it stops raining inland and essentially slowly choke the planet to death.

  • @dan240393 This is interesting. I did not know anything about this super volcanic phase you mention. Your saying it wiped out more species before the meteorite hit? Any idea on how much time passed between these two events? Thanks for your comments, very informative :o)

  • @moonwalker091000 The first super volcanic phase happened 250 million years ago (i think) and that was the one that killed more species than the meteorite and helped to clear the food chain and make way for the dinosaurs. I'm fairly sure that a second one was just beginning when the meteorite hit (its hadn't really done much beyond raising temperatures and creating acid rain when the meteorite hit). I'm not dead certain about this but I remember hearing about it in a documentary.

  • @dan240393 Thanks for the info. I was never told any of this as a kid, just about the meteor. Any idea what show that was you watched, I'd luv to see it. Science is so amazing now, always coming up with new theories and ideas that no one knew about when I was younger. :o)

  • Humans are okay but dinosaurs were better. After all what's more entertaining, a redneck with a rifle or Tyranisaurus Rex?

  • @moonwalker091000 Yeah, but that is cruel. Why nature has to be that cruel?

  • @Prehistoriclife65 I know. As informative as this show is, I can't watch it again. Even now, I have scrolled down the page to write because its very upsetting to me. They were such magnificant giants on the planet. All they did was eat, drink, sleep and make little dinos. They did not deserve such a cruel fate.

  • @moonwalker091000 I got a little upset by this show too, it was really depressing. Dont worry we are doing a preety good Job of destroying ourselves, who knows - maybe Dinosaurs will come back in the future?

  • @indrajeet Well you never know what the future may hold. I think those gentle giants really took care of the planet, much more than we have. I watched Jurassic Park two nights ago. Luv the scene at the beginning where Sam Neill first sees the brontosaurus. It still makes me cry, that scene with them and the herds by the water is so peaceful. Sam Neill almost looks like he is going to cry when he says "they do travel in herds". Yes, I want them to come back too!!

  • @Prehistoriclife65 Because if nature wasn't cruel then the only life would be single-celled organisms and neither us nor the dinosaurs would ever have evolved. Mass extinction events have happened again and again through the past and they're the only reason that the dinosaurs ever existed.

  • Xonx68 Yeah, but, the real ones mustmust be died in a mode more cruel than this, who knows. Maybe, in the future, we can at least get back a dinosaur, even if is only one!

  • @Prehistoriclife65 You shd not feel silly at all that this show made you feel that way. I too was very upset and unfortunately it is probably more accurate than what we wd like to admit. I actually started crying at the beginning, with the herd being entirely wiped out in such a cruel way. When I was growing up we were never told how it happened in great detail, just that the dinos didn't even know what hit them. I realized after this show how untrue that theory was. :(

  • R.I.P. TO ALL MY BELOVED DINO'S! ..maybe ALIENS are instead what become after the humans are wiped out!

  • just a theory, how the F... would they know how these animals fought for mating rights and things like this. NO evidence at all.

  • aliens killed the dinos to make the earth liveable for humans :)))

  • I feel sorry for the dinosaurs... they died with a very cruel mode... burned. T_T

  • @Prehistoriclife65 So did I! :( It was difficult to watch, especially the first ones that got blinded, set on fire, skinned alive, blown-away, crushed by quake and then smashed by falling rocks, all while terrified out of their minds. I felt silly, since they're only fake characters done by CG animation but it was still horrible watching those tortured, hellish, agonizing deaths. Anyone with any kind of heart would hate to see a poor animal die in such a way, even a fake one.

  • Oh my god,I can't bare to download it

  • LOL 57:37 , i think the people that made this realised that they need to jazz it up a bit, never mind factual content , inject some hollywood drama in the dino battle

  • This is how GOD prepared the earth for us.... be glad

  • @kentignore WTF did he do that? Dinosaurs are much cooler then people. We're pathetic.

  • @stefanoGFsiciliano Yes your right... i wish i never here too.. now the earth is fucked-up,

we are the reason for that.

  • @kentignore Haha, no. This is a natural disaster that wiped out a good chunk of life on earth. This is also the story of the end of one tale of evolutionary success, and the beginning of ours. Don't preach religion, just enjoy the documentary and have a nice day. XP

  • @BloodyPainfulDeath Hello there, im not preaching religion, im a chatolic dude... im not even religious... im just saying the truth...

  • Funny thing about the comments is that the last dinosaur video I saw had 2 newfags complaining about religion, atheism and all that bullshit. It's a fucking video...deal with it

  • I use to be a dinosaur inhabited planet, but then I took an asteroid to the knee.

  • @bsnhbksan fail

  • to those who dont believe in evolution..... had the dinosaurs not died, u wudnt born coz thed eat ur mum . so..... u wudnt born without a mum. bahahahaha

  • the ending was crap

  • Comment removed

  • How gauche to place ones own name on someone else's work.

  • BEST MOVIE EVER

  • im sure somwhere there are still dinosaurs.but we still didnt find them

  • @CPTNRASPY Yep, and we have actually found them. Lizards, crocodiles, and every other dinosaur-like creature on Earth today.

  • @NickWaterfall Dinosaurs are more related to birds. Heck in that sense they didn't go extinct. They all around us lol. We eat them all the time lol. but this document is sad:( very depressing

  • @zoidschica21 I agree

  • @zoidschica21 These shows are kinda depressing sometimes. They love to over dramatize destruction especially earthly destruction. Everytime I watch one of these kind of shows about space the love to say how the sun will eventually die and take the earth with it and show its destruction. I think if scientist could they would love to blow up earth just to see it. While they jet off to another distant planet to study, plunder, and repeat. haha

  • @Marvel126 Well, it IS sorta a show based on Entertainment (Mixed with Education of Course) so I think it's necessary...

  • @Marvel126 I wouldn't be so sure that its the scienticists saying that. These shows buy heavily into the current American feeling and addiction for catastrophe.

  • How do we know this isn't all a load of bull? For all we know our ancestors probably hunted them to extinction and ate them all up and used all their bones as tools and furniture!

  • @kayaking4autism You're a troll, right? We've actually found the crater from this asteroid, and humans didn't exist 65,5 million years ago, dumbass. Back then we looked like hamsters or something. Humans and dinosaurs have never existed at the same time, that's bullshit from TV-shows like The Flintstones.

  • @NickWaterfall OK well maybe something else ate them all up then something else at them all up then eventually our ancestors ate the ones who ate the ones who ate the ones who ate the dinosaurs, either way I don't think the meteor was that powerful or else ALL life would have ended not just for cold blooded giant reptiles and dragons.

  • @kayaking4autism ALL life that was exposed to the destruction ended. The only survivors were insects and small mammals and stuff.

Asteroid, not meteor. Asteroids are gigantic flying mountains of dense rock. Meteors are tiny.

  • @NickWaterfall OK a big lump banged into Earth, so what, that happens all the time and we're still alive. The Dinosaurs got eaten by Fred and Barny! Wilma made a nice set baby bed out of the bones. How else were they supposed to power their cars back then apart from with pink spotted dinosaurs?

  • @kayaking4autism Wrong, mountains of rock hit us every 100 million years, not all the time. And you're a troll, no doubt about that. Go back to your cave and finish your lunch.

  • @NickWaterfall WRONG an asteroid hit the earth in 2002 landed in the mediterranian. What separates us from all the other animals is the fact that we may be smaller than dinosaurs but we had brains and we could throw sharp pointy sticks into animals from afar. We only have a few preserved remains from that time. You weren't there, THIS is a bloody cartoon too! Stop thinking you can see the whole picture when you've only connected a handful of jigsaw pieces together!

  • @kayaking4autism That was equivalent to a single small nuke, I'm talking about the big guys. The 2002 one exploded before even touching the ground, WEAK. And shut up about that stupid theory (not even a theory) that humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time, that's been proven wrong by thousands of scientists and it's now considered dumb to say such a thing. We would've been trampled or eaten to extinction by dinosaurs on the first day.

  • @NickWaterfall There was also a time when thousands of the world's most brilliant minds agreed the world was flat, you couldn't travel faster than sound, walking on the moon was impossible and that dragons didn't exist. All have been proven possible... we think we're soooo smart, there are still LOADS of bones down there still not yet dug up, We're extrapolating a very large picture here with VERY little information in reality.

  • @kayaking4autism What? I wouldn't call them brilliant, they didn't even try good enough. There was also a time when thousands of the same guys agreed that we and dinosaurs lived together. That has been proven wrong since then. You have nothing to say, go to bed. Use your brain a little more, please.

  • @NickWaterfall Hey if I told you that there was a piece of steel between your floor and upstairs you cannot see not hear not smell nor taste it, doesn't mean it isn't there. And tools mankind had back then would have rotted and been crushed by 65 million years of shit layering on top. The evidence is gone, even the spearheads have become mineralized. We can only find fossils embedded in prehistoric swamps and man was probably smart enough not to fall into them!

  • @kayaking4autism If I couldn't see/hear/smell/taste it, I would use another method. Humans didn't look like humans back then, we looked like small hamster-like creatures.

If you know how evolution works, you would know that we didn't "exist" back then. And we've got tons of proof of an asteroid hitting the Earth, 65,5 million years ago. And when you look at cliffs where layers from 65,5 million years ago are exposed, you can see that something extreme took place at that time.

  • @NickWaterfall Well if you believe in evolution, how do you know we didn't evolve from the dinosaurs in the first place? I mean they have legs, arms, a head, claws that sort of resemble fingers. I mean David Icke reckons the royal family are reptiles, so maybe we all are in a way. We evolved from mice? Is that what they feed us as school these days, in my day it was monkeys, in my dads day it was God. Sure we didn't look like we do now, but we did have an ancestor then!

  • @kayaking4autism Human with a flat face and not much hair - Hairy monkey with a mouth and nose that sticks a bit out - Smaller more hairier monkey with a nose that sticks further out..... go further and you'll eventually end up like a mouse.

I don't see how dinosaurs and us are somehow in the same family tree.

  • Nature you scary!!!

  • Look like dinosaur revolution when jack was stabbed by the triceratops

  • Roar!!!!

  • I want the Dinosaurs to come back :(

  • @INCREDIBLEHULK91941 hey do u know if they come back all humans will die and also dinos are't dead the survivors mostly evolved into birds so all birds are mostly dinos

  • @josecardenase1 and don't forget lizards.

  • @NickWaterfall yep lyzard's to :P

  • what a crap...., maybe they got the time machine; George Carlin was right every thing is a lie, and is not going to get any better than this.,,,the details in this video are.unbelievable ...how accurate .BullShit

  • REALLY COOL VIIDEO THX ALOT I REALLY WAS ENTERTAINING FOR A BORING DAY AT WORK =D =)

  • really good animation

  • 27:20

    There goes Vancouver

  • just seeing how a trex would be like if it were alive gives me shivers.

  • Very accurate video imo, altough Im sure almost none are aware, the tyranosaurus Rex, and the Triceratops didnt live on the same timeperiod, so it would have been imposible for a chase like this to ocur. The effects wouldnt have been instant as most people think, scince we have the need to consider of air presure and resistance, as well as other energy absorbers. But heck...just know, an incoming asteriod could be "on our way"...but just like that life easy comes, easy goes...

  • God why are there tsuamis and earthquakes you shouldnt do this please help us god we havent did our life yet :( STOP IT I WANT A LIFE D: are you trying to kill us? :(

  • This is one of the best dinosaur movies ever!!!!

  • Lol its 65 minutes.

  • 55:28 TROLLFACE!!

  • WOWWWWW 600!!!! sooooo warm? these Dinasaurs should melt instead of burning.every creature can only pass to 50 or a little bit more not so much as 600! so burning is not enough in this movie.

  • some of these sceen were taken from the Discovery Channels Clash of the Dinosaurs and the fight scene between T-rex and Stega is the same minus the trees all they did here was change the scenery and make it a baron waste land.

  • THE BEST Documentary movie I have ever seen.

  • hhehhe This BIG Dinasaur was sooooo cute.

  • And then came the human species.

But like they say, what goes around, comes around.

Sad to say...but: "What makes us think we are so special that this won't happen to us?" Just look at the tsunami in Japan, Katrina, Joplin Indiana, and the Tsunami in on Christmas day in 2004 in south east Asia....

  • @DannyBruiz I agree with you Danny. This was a really hard show for me to watch. I was told when I was a kid that when the meteor hit, the dinosaurs didn't even know what hit them, that they died in an instant. This is not what the show portrayed at all and I was very saddened by it and how they suffered. As yu say, what makes us so special that we don't think this will happen to us? Why shd our fate be any different? thx for yur comment

  • What purpose did the tiny hands serve for T.Rex serve? Are the experts of sure about those tiny hands on the T. Rex? Just doesn't make sense?????

  • I give it a A for entertainment....a A for graphics...a double A for imagnation ..and this a key term "imagination"....

Now I wont deny dinosaurs never was around .....we have the bones..

What I DO question is the massive and very long time frames we're given ....

The Bible says...."that without faith, its impossiable to to please God"

(And may the chicken forgive me ) but I dont have THIS much faith..to believe -to even wrap my head around the 100's of Millions of years talk

  • @aslanmemcup well do some research and take god out of the mix.

  • Earth is a battle ground...no matter what we do, we are in constant battle with forces of nature....it is only the matter of time for our own demise.....so help us God

  • Comment removed

  • This is an excellent documentary about dinosaur extinction which clearly shows what happened near the impact zone.

  • all the dinosaurs took a arrow to the knee

  • poor dinos they must have gone through alot

  • God created all things..why did he create these Dinosaurs then vanish them off the earth?

  • @Midnightryder7 CS Lewis once said "Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become." Maybe the same is true of our investigating prehistoric events. Perhaps God delights in our inquisitive nature much like a human father delights over his son's reaction after having found a strange bug or fossil in the yard.

  • @eladral Very poetic, but maybe there is no God at all and the delightment and awe is all ours while investigating prehistoric events no one has ever uncovered.

  • @Midnightryder7 because he is a magician, he has his on show in Vegas.

  • @Midnightryder7 that's a really good question. Isn't God supposed to be all loving to all creatures on earth? I didn't see that in this show at all. They suffered horribly, there was no need. It was so sad, a species wiped out in 5 minutes :(

  • 27:20 There goes Vancouver

  • thank you a lot for the upload, even with the poor picture, the quality of rendering an animation is outstanding, The visual power is shaking. Reconstructions seem to be on a scientific level that has not been reached before.

  • So sad..:/ just fiew seconds are enough to change something that was making about milion years..

  • @12coudak000 I know. I found myself crying. It was very hard to watch :(

  • man i watched this video a milion times and cant get over it

  • *SPOILER ALERT* the dinosaurs die

  • @mrshnublet you asshole, why would you ruin the ending for me? lol

  • ok this show is so amazing! i am shock this is from discovery cause normally they make the dinosaurs act so human like or they reply to many clips or they they have bad song choice. But this show does not reply to many clips, it has awesome song choice, and does not make the dinosaurs act so stupid like in dinosaur revolution! Thanks the to user for uploading the most unique dinosaur show ever!!!!!!!

  • So if I dig a hole in the ground and cover myself with something is it possible to survive?

  • I'm guessing I have to get ready for this.

  • I'm guessing I hate to get ready for this.

  • I WILL NOT CLICK "I'M 15 AND I'VE SLEPT WITH MEN OVER 300"

  • we really should start digging into mountains so we could survive the next armageddon or you... turn into mole people

  • @yayima31 no we are not doing that we are building the tools to destroy a meter before it hits earth

  • @yayima31 no we should make a thing to destroy the meter before it hits us! We are doing that now!

  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Thank you so much for uploading this. That Quetzalcoatlus just "poofed" out and got swallowed by the tsunami lol.

  • I got chills within the first minute... Such Ominous music, video, and narration

  • The asteroid is so scary.

  • at 8:50 why didnt the moon's gravity field pull the asteroid onto it... :/

  • @StarRaptor729 I think that was just a VISUAL representation, a metaphor saying "The moon, our last line of defense has failed. We're doomed."

Or maybe that was literal, as the moons gravity may not be strong enough to pull such an object out of it's path (But being larger than it, the moon should be able to, if physics mean anything"

  • @Spartan2337 You would think, but one can't ignore the speed of the object - it is simply traveling far too fast for anything the mass of our moon to have any real effect on it- not at that close of a range - by the time it's within our moon's gravitational field, it is also within the Earth's larger gravitational field, and only a few hundred thousand miles away - that gives the moon maybe 5 or 6 hours to move an object larger than Mt. Everest thousands of miles to the side-quite a feat.
