I'm an American and I think this series series is great. I have the entire sountracks to both Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (Silver Fang-Meteor Gin) and Ginga Densetsu Weed(Silver Fang-Legend Weed) and their both good. My favorite from Gin are the opening titles and Run And Fight Gin.
It does not as far as I know I just thought that with both series being Japanese maybe most people would think that there were not very many fans from other countries definitely those from English speaking countries like the United States of America especially when the series are not dubbed in English with that being what most viewers would prefer. I wanted to prove them otherwise. Although I wish they were dubbed in English subtitles are not bad and at least you can undestand the characters.
