  • their national judges overscored just like the us national judges

  • She is so special... ever!

  • cheng fei the best she is so artistic

  • its not artistics that count, its difficulty and real talent, thats why shawn is the best :|

  • The sport is called ARTISTIC gymnastics, therefore artistry counts! Shawn should go into acrobatics.

  • Amazing isnt it the amount of people who DONT KNOW the basics of gymnastics.....eg. trampolinedance.......are they for real?

  • She feels the preassure! What a brave girl. The eyes of the chinese are over her shoulders. I want her do well.

  • Her double double worries me. Competing in France on june she performed a very low double double (much lower than the one from the video), which caused her to land on her face.

Hope she can fix it until Beijing. :)

  • who was gold medalist here? was she?

  • There were two gold medalists: Cheng Fei and Sui Lu.

  • tks!

  • She will win fx in beiijing no doubt about it.

  • i think Shawn Johnson has something to say about that

  • A few too many deductions for a 9.7, but still awesome.

I'm sure she'll change the double pike to a piked full in for Beiijing.

  • Changing the dismount to a full in didn't work so well for her in Stuttgart, as everybody knows. And judging by her recent double doubles, she isn't as strong as she was last year or three years ago, for example.

If she really wants another tenth, she should replace her B-value sheep jump with a C jump/leap/turn. For a floor specialist to count a B skill in her routine is just crazy to me.

  • cheng fei is much better than shown johnson in fx

i like this music y more artistic than shawn

  • so true... shawn johnson moves like a robot on floor, and an unimaginative one at that. cheng fei is leagues ahead of her artistically!

  • i like it

  • i really hate that new music

the seven swords it's so much bether...

  • i agree. the seven swords one was awesome

  • agreed! but too bad they didnt like it.

  • The music is too dissonant; in my opinion there is no continuity in the cuts. My Huilan also used a piece of Yellow River Concerto in her 1996 routine, but it was much better choreographed. I think that in order to use such dramatic music you need a bit more "active" (ie using more of the floor) dance/choreography...

  • the 1996 rules were much easier than the current ones... Cheng does this very well considering the incredible difficulty of the exercise.

  • mcamacho1 was talking about the music selection, not Cheng Fei herself. Personally, I think the music would sound more consonant and unified if the piano pieces were discarded. I don't much care for their role in this routine.

  • She was under huge pressure....

  • B-score 9.4 is more realistic.

  • i've never seen her doing double pike before~

  • 9.700 seriously???

and people say the US nationals are overscored...

  • yikes, i love cheng fei and this routine, but a 9.7 B-score is not realistic here. i hope that doesn't put her on the wrong track for training for the real thing. Thanks a lot for posting!! Any chance we'll see JYY's amanar?

  • look through the rest of fanbutterfly's videos...jyy's amanar is in there...and it's amazing!

  • oh now i've seen it!! it's incredible and so funny how nonchalantly she walks off the mat, like it just occurred to her to grab a sandwich or something.

  • lol.
