@LoboAscuridad they are like small bumps on the vocal chords.most times they cause horseness and tiredness in a voice..but in mariahs case they make her horse sometimes, but they allow her to control and hit notes in her whistle register..causing the "whistling sound" because of how the air pushes through her nodules. thats why her voice is so delicate

@LoboAscuridad her voice is not naturally hoarse and low..the nodules make her voice hoarse..but if she rests for a good amount of time her voice sounds clear..thats why when you always hear her on CDs her voice is crystal clear..because she actually rests fully before recording. and im not sure if she was born with nodules, but shes had them every sense she was probably in her kid days

Yeah, i agree!! also, in this HQ version and the unedited version you can totally hear the it kind of made it seem as if Patties belt seemed even more powerful. Mariah's powerful G#6 whistle register note fused with Patti's G#5 belt.
Mariah is my favorite singer of all time, but Patti sounded AMAZING on this. I really liked the combination of Patti's belted high note and Mariah's whistle note at 1:36 . It sounded perfectly in tune....
If these two were to make an album I'd buy it and that's coming from some who's 17 forget this mainstream crap give me this kind of music any day =)

Mariah is my favorite singer of all time, but Patti sounded AMAZING on this. I really liked the combination of Patti's belted high note and Mariah's whistle note at 1:36 . It sounded perfectly in tune....
