The school isn't worth it, highly overrated. Costs way to much. And if your taking up loans be prepared to spend many years paying it back. There are many schools which have better departments compared to the ones in SAIC , with half the price.
@MorganH1279 Its not getting accepted, Its paying for it! I dropped out, decided it wasn't worth it(didn't like the school). But it is a beautiful city. And many do like it, just be careful, Artists are crazy as hell. Im not exaggerating, over 80% are drug users. No one will pressure you, but it's a crazy environment. I love the city, the museum, you get many benefits, just didn't like the school. But you might, go for it. It's very easy, there are no grades, its pass or fail. luck!
@StudioVibe I wanna go into the same category. my sister told me that when she visited, they told her that she should put as much color into her portfolio as possible. And when she told me about it, she said I should do the same. i advise you do the same. The faculty said that color makes it really "pop out." So whatever you draw, just make sure you use color.
@tapebasket I was accepted for the Fall semester of 2010. I'm from Texas and flew up in January for an interview, which increased my chance for acceptance immensely. I think thats the big thing. Just make sure your portfolio is good, and be prepared to answer unexpected questions!
