I attended five Boston concerts with Brad on vocals. Every show was amazing. He hit every note, even during the Corporate America tour. I was so looking forward the summer tour when he passed. He is so missed. RIP Brad.
I LOVE THIS BAND..... I wish that they were still together. Fantastic musos and Tom Sholtz is a true virtuoso..... love the guitar, keyboard and vocals!
Walk On, a very underrated album. In 1994 I had just purchased a Boston album because it was only 4 dollars at the base exchange. Turns out to be one of my favorite albums I ever purchased, I was in college at the time and listened to that CD so often. It was the self titled 1976 release. So of course when they released Walk On I purchased that also. This song is sooooo good and never got the credit it should have. Likely because of the grunge movement during that time.
dam i never heard fran and brad sing together at the same time, it sounds awesome. both great singers. tom scholz is a musical genious. and whoever got up at 4:35 is missing one hellova show
Brad and Fran were awesome singing together. They toured with them both in 1998, 2003, and in 2005. I was fortunate enough to see them in both 2003 and 2005. I saw Michael Sweet and Tommy Decarlo with Boston 3 times tin 2008. Still and excellent sound.
Why do some people call Boston "corporate rock". Tom not only wrote the songs and played a lot of instruments, but he recorded and produced the records in his home studio, some of it on equipment he actually invented. That sounds like ultimate garage to me. ^_^
I saw Boston twice and the second time both Fran Cosmo and Brad Delp were sharing lead singing duties. What an amazing show!! We miss you so damn much Brad!!
hey spider, do you happen to know why Fran is no longer with Boston? I too miss the hell out of Brad. I like Michael Sweet and Tommy Decarlo, and this is no disrespect to them, but it's hard to replace what your used to hearing. Brad and Fran made such a great team. I wish Tom would see the light and bring back Fran. Anthony Cosmo is a great musician as well. He wrote alot of the material for Corporate America. I just dont see Boston coming out with new material with Tommy and Michael. RIP Brad
Fran was fired for performing Boston songs with his band on the side. Scholz is a wizard but a bit of a fruitcake. I heard from someone who knows Fran that Brad didn't want to go on the upcoming tour with Boston, he was really upset Scholz fired Fran and didn't like the music (much of which Tom's wife wrote).
thanks for the info bro. I knew that Fran and Brad were tight. No disrespect to Michael sweet, and Tommy Decarlo, but Tom to me made a huge mistake firing Fran. There is no replacing Brad or Frans vocals. I guess it's hard to replace what your used to hearing. Anyway thanks for your reply
Brad sounds beautiful at the 2:24 mark, doesn't he? I mean, him and Tom sound remarkable the whole way through but that part of the song will pull at your heart strings.
don't forget that Fran recorded the original studio version, not Brad. Brad was not featured on the WALK ON cd. But Brad does wonderful on this song anyhow.
@melissamajors You bet! When I saw them together I saw Brad pointing his hands too Fran when Fran would hit the really high notes! Brad delp sang a really high note when I saw them for the 3rd time in Newport Beach, Ca., This was around 2003 -2004 I think........Well Brad....I will truly him, the nicest guy too in Rock! R.I.P. Brad!!
The album was released in 1994. This song was actually played on some "top 40" stations in addition to rock stations. I hope somebody can put the album version on YouTube. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
