By international law, if a ship threats to break a blockade, the country that it's blockade is threatened can board the ship and arrest it's occupants (even in INTERNATIONAL WATERS). All of the other ships participating in the flotilla were intercepted and no one got hurt. That ship responded with violence, and people gut hurt (our soldiers came with paintball guns, and handguns for backup).

On sept. 07 Israsel has declared the Gaza Strip as a hostile entity and as such Israel can blockade any weapons etc. from getting in (thats the basic in any confrontation between entities). Israel is not starving the people in Gaza. Israel has no problem to deliver as much food as possible into Gaza once it is checked (and it does so in fact) and the aid could have been transfered into Gaza in this case too. But delivering the aid was not what it was about

When a country is at war with another country/entity it may and should try to prevent that other entity from arming itself (sounds logical to me) and in order to do so the first country can enforce a blockade on that other entity.
The first country has every right to board a vessel in order to ensure it is not carrying contraband or breaching a blockade (San Remo Manual, para.67 and 146)

First of all, religion is much more influential in poor countries simply because people dont have anything else... and pretty much every single muslim country is very poor (not the governments, but the people). Secondly all big religions have had their dark times (except buddhism), and it wasnt THAT long ago that women werent allowed to vote, even in europe. Islam is young and still maturing.

I am not prejudice to think that all Muslims are bad but there is something in Islam and moreover in Arab culture that glorifies power, control, domination over others and they see it as an ideal that puts the collective (either religiously or nationality) above the individual and therefore a noble one. That’s why living and raising ones children in peace is pushed aside.

I think that the soldiers are not to blame. The mistake was to tell them that they will encounter no real violence and decided to equip them with paint guns as their main weapon.
Ironically the "silk gloves" that the Israeli side tried to handle those activists with (because they knew that everybody is waiting for the opportunity to criticize its actions) has caused the situation to escalate.

By international law, if a ship threats to break a blockade, the country that it's blockade is threatened can board the ship and arrest it's occupants (even in INTERNATIONAL WATERS). All of the other ships participating in the flotilla were intercepted and no one got hurt. That ship responded with violence, and people gut hurt (our soldiers came with paintball guns, and handguns for backup).

On sept. 07 Israsel has declared the Gaza Strip as a hostile entity and as such Israel can blockade any weapons etc. from getting in (thats the basic in any confrontation between entities). Israel is not starving the people in Gaza. Israel has no problem to deliver as much food as possible into Gaza once it is checked (and it does so in fact) and the aid could have been transfered into Gaza in this case too. But delivering the aid was not what it was about

When a country is at war with another country/entity it may and should try to prevent that other entity from arming itself (sounds logical to me) and in order to do so the first country can enforce a blockade on that other entity.
The first country has every right to board a vessel in order to ensure it is not carrying contraband or breaching a blockade (San Remo Manual, para.67 and 146)

@eyalalmog1 That's a good question, and a hard one to answer. I think there are many factors in this. First of all, religion is much more influential in poor countries simply because people dont have anything else... and pretty much every single muslim country is very poor (not the governments, but the people). Secondly all big religions have had their dark times (except buddhism), and it wasnt THAT long ago that women werent allowed to vote, even in europe. Islam is young and still maturing.

I am not prejudice to think that all Muslims are bad but there is something in Islam and moreover in Arab culture that glorifies power, control, domination over others and they see it as an ideal that puts the collective (either religiously or nationality) above the individual and therefore a noble one. That’s why living and raising ones children in peace is pushed aside.

About this whole incident I think these people trying to break through the blockade are to blame because they attacked soldiers, and I think the soldiers are to blame because they have training and should have handled things better. I think that the soldiers are not to blame. The mistake was to tell them that they will encounter no real violence and decided to equip them with paint guns as their main weapon.
Ironically the "silk gloves" that the Israeli side tried to handle those activists with (because they knew that everybody is waiting for the opportunity to criticize its actions) has caused the situation to escalate.

Boarding / kidnapping / stealing goods on a ship in international waters is a severe crime against international law. It is piracy and tantamount to state terrorism.
Economic sanctions should be directed via FN Security Council against Israel.
If more ships are to be sent, Sweden should aid in form of military escort using the Nordic Battle Group.
Israel should be just as isolated as North Korea.

For example: saying "I did not eat this cookie" when there is chocolate on your hands and mouth,and cookie crumbs all over your your clothes etc.
Another lie can be saying : "The soldiers attacked us just as they arrived the ship" when there are videos clearly showing the protesters preparing to beat the soldiers in advance, and attacking them first.

The only video I didn't see was the one with the boat where whereby the stun grenade was thrown. No audio is all of the videos and many cuts scenes, still no video of the helicopter's arrival. Why is it the only video released is that the IDF releases? The knives aside from the one sabre are not out of the ordinary except for the sling shots. I asked you to send me UNEDITED FOOTAGE WITH SOUND FROM INTERDEPENDENT SOURCE OTHER THAN THE IDF. It doesn't exist! there are no video's in their entirety to give yo an unbiased view. These videos were confiscated by the IDF (as usual) and edited to prove their point. and if you translate the Israeli protesters video i linked you they do yell "KILL" and other death threats.

@Zygorhiza Jamal Elshayyal, who was travelling in the flotilla and witnessed the Israeli raid, confirmed that some passengers took apart some of the ship's railings to defend themselves as they saw the Israeli soldiers approaching.
He said that he witnessed some of the killings, and confirmed that at least "one person was shot through the top of the head from [the helicopter] above."
