  • How did you breed these? I have a few amanos but they dont breed! You mentioned salt water?

  • Are those for sale?

  • i had 5 of them in my 26 gallon tank. and one day one went missing, do they eat each other and if so. does it take a short time to eat a whole one/?

  • @migueluspa No they jump out. The only time I loose an Amano shrimp is when it jumps.

  • what do u feed them

  • my hometown is quite a remote area, i can catch thousand of them in the river near my house (or probably different transparent shrimps lol), seriously. used to keep the until they bite my discus lol

  • I have them breeding and reproducing in freshwater (though our water is naturally salty) but I cant get them past about 2mm in size. Also, did you use a filter at the beginning?

  • @CanadianChameleons You Canadians and your salty water lol

  • how do you know there are 340?

  • i counted them whilst transfereing them from saltwater.

  • Wow, you're my hero! Not that I would want to count 340 shrimps ;)

Good job with the tank it looks good!

  • hey hey......

try the caridina red skunk cherry...

  • My biggest are about an inch long.

  • i saw a huge Amano in the shop..how big is yours?

  • How long does it take them to breed and then get that size?

  • It takes about a month before they are ready to re enter freshwater. It is quite a difficult process as part of their life cycle is in seawater.
