@qwerk I think you did spell it correctly, I was just surprised to hear him singing here, and to see him singing on the DNC stage... he's a friend of a friend and we're members of the same church...
Anyone here talking about how great Jackson is should read "Shakedown-exposing the real Jesse Jackson". They might learn some very interesting things about this "great leader".
The country wasn't ready for a black president back in 1988. The country was ready for a black president and he won. Now it remains to be seen if this black president will be re-elected. It depends on the economy and white votes.
If the economy is still bad by Nov. 2012, people will say it is misguided to vote for Obama. I wonder if unemployment improved significantly by Nov 2012 would you say that people would be misguided to vote for Obama? If so it based character and identity issues people don't like about Obama. I don't think people are misguided if they vote for candidate a person one or most people see is undesirable because they feel committed to policies.
this was a very powerful speech. I viewed this speech on May 20,2011.This is the day before the world is suppose to end. At the end of the day folks. WE ALL NEED TO PUT OUR DIFFERENCES ASIDE. WE ALL NEED GOD,WHOEVER WE MIGHT RESPECTFULLY CALL GOD. WE ALL NEED TO READ THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS AS IT DESCRIBE THE TIMES WE ARE LIVING IN VIVIDLY. GOD BLESS ALL!!!! P.S. ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIDEOS IS IMAGINE BY JOHN LENNON. TAKE A PEEP AT IT. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

This is the Jesse Jackson that I prefer to remember the Jesse Jackson that tried to make America work for everybody & who could deliver a great speech off the cuff
@PookB...Pookb or Picaboo, as my niece might call you...how am I the reason Black America is falling, lol, you sound like the media, blaming a Black person for all the things that a couple of black people are doing...And to answer your question a sellout is anyone who is willing to defame, disrespect, disunite, or even kill anyone in the black community for the purpose of pleasing white folk is a sellout...Jesse is a sellout because he had a roll in the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
@Picaboo...just wanted to add, not that it matters but I do have a college degree...the first one in my family to get one...so just be careful on judging people and not being sure who they are...I am all about Black Success...In fact that is the only success I'm concerned with at this point in my life...But Jesse Jackson like Brother Khalid said "is brilliant brother but he is working for the wrong side, he needs to come back home"
