@lukilladog It's nothing to do with transistor count, it's a well optimized engine, that uses the cpu much more than the gpu. The six years old Xbox360 is still comparable with a high end pc on the term of performance and image quality, 'cause consolses can be programmed directly without any directX like interfaces. That is why a more than 6 years old architecture can run such amazing games at 60fps, like Rage, GoW3, Reach, Red Dead, etc.
@07rodrigez It runs @60fps on consoles because it is a well programmed game but also because it uses lots of performance tricks, like very few light sources, precomputed shadowing, moderate triangle count, dynamic resolution, budget hdr, low antialiasing, and so on. And in general, xbox360 is not comparable to even an old pc like mine, there are lots and lots of game that I run @solid 60fps but in consoles run @20-30fps, and that´s with hdr fp16, better lods, mipmaps, textures, anisotropics...
@lukilladog Yep, you are right! I don't wan't to defend the Xbox360. I own one, but I also have the same PC, that you have. :) The difference is that my C2Q can't run @3.5ghz, 3.3 it's max. Moreover, I'm happy that I can play with Rage on PC with sharper textures. All I wanted to point out that PC's performance is limited by it's modularity. You nees some interface like directX, OpenGL, etc., to ensure that a game could rum on every hardware and these plus layers kill the performance... :(
@07rodrigez Worst than those layers are the lazy ports lol, but this one runs fast and with the 8k .cfg texturing looks nice. This video has not any cfg, Think I´ll make a new video.
with gtx260 I can play this game at 1080p and 2xaa with solid 60fps

@sp4wners Yep, this card has 5 times more transistors than xbox360 chip, it would be crazy it couldn´t handle it.
