  • For those of you who say I'm wrong are clearly uninformed. In order to achieve visible abs you need to lower your body fat and your abs are very small muscles and won't generate the heart rate necessary to burn fat where as your quads in comparison are very large so you would have to put a lot of stress on your quads to get your heart rate in the range required to burn fat. YOU WON'T HAVE VISIBLE ABS AT 20% BODY FAT

  • @sahilmashah No. Dumbbells apply a downward force and would work your lower back, you need something 'pulling' you up, like a cable machine or band.

  • GUYS! You WON'T get 6 pack abs from doing ab exercises! The only way to achieve visible ab muscles is to EAT LESS and do MORE CARDIO! There is NO SUCH THING AS SPOT FAT REMOVAL, which means that you can't train a specific body part and expect to lose fat there, you need to do intense cardio and from there your body will decide where the fat comes off from. For most of us you NEED ATLEAST 8% BODY FAT TO HAVE VISIBLE ABS! Please thumbs this up so people can see and don't waste their time.

  • @Ghostillness Everyone has a six-pack underneath all that fat. But if you want deep ridges, large obliques and v-lines you NEED to do ab exercises.

    The same logic applies to every muscle. Everyone has biceps, but if you want them to show, you need to build them.

    If you're doing any sort of body building and you carry a lot of body fat, you should do intense cardio.

  • @Ghostillness What you're saying is true, BUT, you still need to work them like any other body part. You can't spot reduce, true, but by training your abs you will make them more visible so you can actually see them pop when you reach lower levels of body fat. To say you don't have to train them just means you don't really understand how the body works.

  • @D1d13rDr0gb4 yes it all has to do with your lower V. if you can only get a 6 then you can only get a 6 and that comes with the genetics. your lower abdominals are not always visible even if you do have a ripped stomach. im a perfect example, i am at 8% body fat but only have a 4 pack because of my genetics to see the lower abdominals. look up nick auger, he has a four pack and will explain that abs are all genetics and some can get 8 but not everybody

  • @TwentyInchBurial I wouldn't go that far with it, also supplements do nothing really but give you energy. They don't build you any muscle or anything. 99.9% of whatever effort you put in the gym goes towards your physique, Its more of a placebo psychological effect on you. You take most supplements which may not even work, but you put twice the effort in your workout. And I'd say if you worked out in between each scene, not only would you be tired but you'd have cortisol all over your body.

    He's right everyone, people do not gain abs, you REVEAL your abs. Every person out there has abs, it's just that a layer of natural fat will cover it. That's why you have to just do healthy exercises and try to find ways to build muscle. Any guy can train as much as he wants, but if he has small abs then even though he's darn strong it'll be hard to show abs. These are good exercises but my point is that you can't just train and get hella abs, it is genetic.

  • @67chevy7 I have done P90x for a year, and the problem with it is that you aren't doing functional exercise that is sustainable. Yes, you get great results, but after a year you will start to run into problems. You really should incorporate routines like this, which have functionality.

  • 8 packs are genetic. No matter how hard you try, you can’t grow extra abs. You can only make them bigger and more defined by reducing body fat. if you do not have the genetics that let you show the other pair of abs, you are not going to have an 8 pack no matter how hard you try

  • @SpecOpsMission you can get v-shape from oblique crunches, hanging leg raises, twisting your core with weights while in floor or decline bench...pretty much every exercise that works obliques or involves twisting your core :)

  • Just a daily cardio of minimal 20 minutes, good nutrition and daily lower abdominals workout = eight pack, almost the same as getting a sixpack
