@SugarFreeTargets Multi-Cam and MTP are very similar but Multi-Cam was chosen by the US a while back and when the MOD decided it time for a change in camo we tested three different type Multi-Cam, MTP and another MTP was the best performing so we chose that one you can tell them apart as Mtp is darker than the others

@grobo11 If you look, all these new all terrain patterns are very effective for a big range of environments, but always arid. So, for the desert, for the steppe, for the southern Europe, for the asian mountains... they are very effective, but for a continental area, I think that a woodland camo is needed. Personally, I would adopt the MTP for all these actual wars in middle-east (all the future wars will be fight over there for the next 30 years) and keep the dpm for the normal environment.IMHO

WW2 they joined in halfway through the war, when momentum was on the UK/USSR side and were beginning to win, even in the later stages of the war UK was still more effective. US lost Korea and vietnam. They won Iraq by drawing the world into it, libya was a rebel/french/UK victory.

Well when I first saw the US ACU uniform, I thought man that looks cool. But after closer inspection its actually a pretty poor rating regarding camoflauge. Dont get me wrong, some of the features on the US military uniforms are ace but the new MULTICAM camoflauge seems to be leading the way. I do agree that the new British Army camo looks odd compared to the traditional DPM, having worn it, but I think it just takes time to get used to. It looks good, and seems to perform well by the sounds.
I think that they should have all three of the camoflauge. Use that one in places like afghanistan with lots of green as well as desert but keep DPM for if war breaks out in europe of something.
its guaranteed the british army will be in afghanistan for 15-20 more years. Thats when they predict the afghan army will be strong enough to defend for itself, from then on, their president will not need us anymore.

It is mutlicam. Merged with a DPM styled stripe pattern, and the colours changed with a particular emphasis on the war in Afghanistan. Crye are the ones making it, and were part of the development process. There's a couple of images around the internet that compare them side by side.
