Cardcaptor Sakura became very popular, so they decided to bring the characters back (I think).

Anyway, Clamp started a manga called Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles about a princess called Sakura from a desert country, and her childhood friend, Shaoran. While visiting som ruins near the city, something strange happens to Sakura and her memories (her soul) takes the form of feathers and is spread across countless different worlds. This manga ran parallel with XXXholic
