This is a cool review, but anyway, I know how to make the back part flush. When you transform him, you have to put the back part down gently because, if you push it to hard, the head pops up. This is because of an overpowered spring in the head's auto-transforming mechanism.

In the movie, He's a skater, and I don't really know the thought process it took to build this model, but I think they tried to capture that aspect of sideswipe,

THe back on mine in car mode sticks up and wont go down but he has no problem standing.

Well all you have to do is use the back part of the feet to keep him up. What you do is to push the front part of the feet which in vehicle mode is the sides of the bumpers and make the back part flush with the very tip of the tires. Do you remember that he "skated" in robot mode?

I own Sideswipe, too. Mine does not have this problem with the backpart in altmode as yours. So it's not a generel prob with that mold. All in all it's just an amazing figure. Be gald to have it ;)

to get him to stand all u have to do is make sure that the front piece of the foot is all the way up and bend the knees slightly so that he can balance it is very simple it works

if u want i know how to fix the problem in the back of the car all u need to do is make sure that sideswipes head is lokking down all the way and it should be fine. ps i had that problem too.

u should put the head down when u transform him back to car mode and then when u push it down u should press the sides oh the window and it would lock in

in order to fix the back of the car so that the trunk part can stay closed, you have to fix the head, all you have to do is push the front of the head towards his chest so that hes looking down and that should do it

On the back, mine used to pop up like that too. But I fixed it! The tab that connects the upper torso into the lower half, Make sure sure in car mode, its tabed into the slot that has the spring that pops up the head. If thats not the case with yours, then just fiddle with different ways to place the pieces in the back and it should go into place flush in no time.

welcome back, great review as always. mine doesn't have that back problem, it's tricky get it back to car, you have to tilt the head forward to clip de back better.

you have to clip de lower half with the upper torso, so the arm joint gets behind the lower chest, it also makes sideswipe shorter.

to balance it, i found the best is to angle the feet up, and left the heel extended, so it has a longer contact surface.

i bought sideswipe yesterday and this past friday i bought leader prime, and prime is taking me a good while to detail and paint, i havent even finished my PG gundam yet and prime has almost the same amount of detail on his moving parts.

i found a way to make it so that his bumper feet are on the back of his heels, ill make a vid soon, all u have to do is before u rotate the wheels/feet down, rotate them the opposite way so that the small square panel is facing forwardsm little harder to stand but it looks better

Great review. my figure has the same problem with the back piece in car mode, it doesnt stay flush. The feet are annoying as sin, we all know he as the "skating action" in the movie, but there was no reason to apply it to the toy.

Hum, I dont have the back problem with mine, nor the standing problem. If you look there are bit of blus platic in the back of the two rear windows, you have to slide those under the main window assembley, and it should make yours look all together.
