1979 first 5 Episodes where shot there, One Armed Bandits, Dasiy's Song, Mary Kays baby, Repo man and High Octane. Episode 6 Swamp Molly thats when it was moved to California I really like the first 5 episodes too but did like the entire Show:-)
@roughers93 Hazzard County Georgia was fictional......the first 5 episodes were filmed in Georgia (Covington) and then the rest was filmed in Burbank Cali forn I A
Like watching a peaceful ghost roam the halls of an old house. I watched the very first episode when I was 8 at my grandparents house. I was hooked to the end. Afterward we'd watch Dallas and Simon & Simon. The good old days to me.
This was nicely done to show the scenes of where the episodes of Dukes were shot, and then shown again X amount of years later...25 years later as you say? The old mall where they shot Blues Brothers in Chicago, long gone and buried sadly. Glad the area where Dukes was shot was preserved.
its amazing just watching it you can feel the energy from the places.all these remakes of the general lee.they just cant catch the same spirt as the real deal.i mean the real general is long gone stripped down and left in the woods somewere to rust.makes you kinda sad that the real heart and legened of georgia is out there somewhere.
I'm kind of shocked that not much as changed aside from a few updates to that town. It almost looks identical from when they shot the series. Fantastic work on the Video!!
god i didnt grow up with the series as it was being born, i grew up watching the reruns, and stuff, this new movie that came out makes me cry, it just ruiend the dukes. but damn man this was a good vid
my god what a perfect video. buddy there is no rating this it was JUST SHEER PERFECTION. showing the car visiting some old places. and the music add's that touch of sadness over how its all ended. VERY well done
The music is clocks. ( coldplay) The artist that did this instrumental is miami dj collective. The track is on ibiza gold chillout and piano moods. The track is available on amazon for 79p
BEST video in respects to the Dukes Of Hazzard. Perfect song for the perfect era. Chokes me up inside. Makes me think how quickly life is passing us by.
Good point, Wearetheworification. I notice the same point, and also try to take it as a reminder to enjoy what life has to offer and make the most of it -- and of course reciprocate -- especially when it comes to the closest people. And THAT, along WITH the cars, music, pretty gals, etc. is, IMHO, what the Dukes is all about!
@wearetheworification just read your post about dukes of hazzard and how life is passing us by!!!! Your soooo right, I couldnt of said it any better my friend.... Good luck to you in life!!!!!
do you remember the characters cb handles :) i sort of remember them :) ok... Daisy was LITTLE BOWE PEPP, jessy was LOST SHEEP, luke and bowe was SHEPARD, and the REPO MAN the tow truck driver forgot his name... :( my bad.. do you remember? refresh my memory :)
You got them a little backwards... Daisy was just Bo Peep... Bo and Luke were Lost Sheep... and Uncle Jesse was Shepherd... And then you have Crazy Cooter
Great video man. exceptional choice of music, it really captured the essence of time well, cool to see not much has changed. must have took a long time for you to put it together, i certainly enjoyed watching.
Wow you must have spent so long finding the right places to film this. Good effort I say. Best car in the world, best TV show in the world and a great song. What's not to love.
Actually the dirt rd scene where they do the do nut is Lenora rd. in Snellville which used to run between Pate rd and Lenora Church rd but its blocked off now at the creek.
Commented about eight months back, and (seeing this again) would like to comment again. The music -- even this instrumental version of "Clocks" -- and the driving scenes, especially with gray, overcast sky seem to go together very beautifully and artistically. Some may say I'm overly philosophical, but this setup hints at the fact that "The Dukes" was about FAR more than just fast cars, country music, pretty women, etc., but about life itself. Thanks much!
This video has truly touched my heart and down to the soul. Its so good to see someone making a tribute video like this one and actually going to the places with the General Lee.
Its as if the General Lee itself its driving thru these places and having his own sorts of flashbacks.
