Of course France went on to win the world cup in 1998 while Bulgaria still have their trophy cabinet filled with only dust. L'équipe bulgare été une des plus jolies équipes de foot pendants les années 90 selon moi et beaucoup d'autre spectateurs.
Chere frenchxxx, l'Histoire du foot connait beaucoup de petits pays comme la Belgique, la Croatie, etc...Mais ils ont eu leur gloire .Pour la reste on verra. Après quand on voit le parcours de la Bulgarie en coupe du monde je dis respect. Peut-être qu'on méritait plus. Mais l'arbitre en demi finale était

@Canadetca Very good point about the referee in the Italy v Bulgaria match being French. He refused to call a penalty on a clear foul committed by Costacurta on Iordan Letchkov in the last minute of the match. There was no way he could have called it. FIFA wanted to see a Brazil and Italy final. Had the French referee called the penalty and if Italy had lost, he would have been severely criticized by FIFA, in private.

Brilliant how it showed "France - Bulgaria 2-1" first. They'd wished! One of the greatest shock results ever. Of course France went on to win the world cup in 1998 while Bulgaria still have their trophy cabinet filled with only dust. So no, God is no Bulgarian, probably never even bothered to look around the place after creating it. It more seemed he was pissed off at the day with the French.

What is your problem? If your nationality makes you what you are as a person, then there is not much France to be proud of what citizen you are. When i read your narrow minded comment I am actually wasted my time, no matter where you come from. We all comment under one particular video. Compare to France the Bulgarian team was better in 1993/1994 and it was proved by reaching semifinals - Mexico, Argentina, Germany - all were eliminated by Bulgaria.

Yeah, there are many passionate insults between Bulgarian and French fans. But to say what you think Bulgaria is and where its place is, nobody cares.
If we talk about football I think France 1998 was one of the weakest championships, but it's not because of the country or the French team, it just happened to be a weak championship. In my opinion.

if you had won the wcup in 2006 that would be better than the wcup 1998 which is in france and which isn't one of the memorable. even the euro 2000 was btter than that. but i agree you have a very talanted football players. lucky youzidan accept the french citizenship and not the algerian one.
