Home Depot also has a "private FBI" called CIT (criminal investigation team). To me, they seem like a waste of time. The day I see them lifting footprints at my store, I'll eat a box of nails!
That is just stupid. How can they arrest him on selling the dvd and tissue paper box. He could have told them he bought it somewhere else or it was from his friend as a gift thats why there were finger prints on them and coincidently he was shopping at target as a customer. Thats just too much lies....
Marvin2292... LOL, this isn’t just a scare tactic. I work with Investigations, this video only shows about 25% of what we do. Target has proven that the days of one or two plain cloths Team Members working the same store for their career catching Joe Shmoe is over.
@HandcuffJocky Target were I live is a joke. The cashier forgot to give me my last bag with two 40$ norelco shavers. The TPS looked at the tapes and said I got all my items. Yet would not let me see it with my own eyes. That's how I know he was lying.
@tOKe1uP of course they wont let you see with your own eyes, I’m glad he didn’t. He is following policy. However, if you are unsatisfied with his results you should go back and talk with an LOD or his ETL-AP and have them double check everything. If that doesn’t work, purchase something else, fill out the survey and leave this as a comment. Those get read by the Store Manager and forwarded to their district offices.
On the other hand... 2 $40 Norelco Shavers? What’s your ebay account? LOL
@HandcuffJocky I understand not letting me see. But he could not answer simply ??? like how many bags total I had. What was in each bag. If the person behind me took off with it. I did call everyone from the STL, AP, Corprate and the Executive office. They were no help at all. I asked them to look up the tape but they said the can't. The man on the video said they could pull up video from other stores. Who is right? Anyways I ending up doing a charge back with my CC for the 80 bucks.
@tOKe1uP, Yes, as the video states, Investigations Centers can pull video from other store, but sadly they are far to busy to review video of every transaction where a guest did not get all of their bags. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but this should have been handled properly at store level. I know that when I am at a store and I can not determine from video a situation like this, I tell the LOD to do what is right for the guest. That is what they should have done at that store.
@HandcuffJocky I also filed a consumer complaint with my States attorney general's office. I don't sell on ebay it's to much with all the fees,paypal,shipping. I do buy stuff for real cheap. Like stolen target stuff haha!
@tOKe1uP Maybe you could have taken some responsibility yourself and make sure you leave with your merchandise... it's not rocket science. And no, from what I've seen, you are not allowed to see surveillance footage. Deal with it.
@AUSly09 Deal with it it did. I got my money back from the chargeback. I've never forgot anything in all my years shopping retail. Mistakes do happen, it was during the x-mas gifts sorry were not all perfect. The rocket science thing is lame. I posted my complaint when it happened . I smell a TROLL!

You're right, no one is perfect, but I expect someone to take responsibility for it and not blame it on the company or the cashier that has been standing there ringing people out for four hours.
There are reasons why people outside of AP and investigations are not allowed to see the footage. They have no reason to lie to about the findings.
