Thanks. A friend of mine works for the state and says that the government does not post the figures of the unemployed who no longer collect benefits. So the actual figures are 11/2 to 2 times higher than reported.

U-6 unemployment is 14.8 as of today. This includes people that have given up looking, part timers that want to work full time. Just google u-6 unemployment -- top hit at bls . gov. This is the same sort of stat that is used when they say the great depression hit 25%
