Are copyright violation for review purposes actually banned in this bill? As it a brit I dont know much about your copyright laws but in the UK you cant include any copyright material unless its for artistic reasons or for review purposes.
@G0dlyGam3rs They could very well be smacked in to prison (all and every one of them) because of they uploaded footage of many video game material. This would mean no more Fails of the Weak, Rage Quit, Achievement Horse and so on. This doesn't mean their excluded from the list as anybody else is that does nearly the same thing.
Obviously, the people who upload brand new movies and video-game downloads should get in trouble (I'm guilty), but if they upload something really old, like a SNES emulator or a really obscure movie than who cares?

@UBEDAMAN3 I didn't hear about it until a few days ago and I agree with you about it being the dumbest thing ever. I understand about movies and music too. Around 1/4 of my nearly 1,200 videos are of me(and sometimes my brother) playing video games. I also have some videos of me singing too and it would take an insane amount of work for me to go through all of those videos and either delete them or set them to private. I am a big fan in video games and this bill if passed would take away fun.

I think it is a very bad idea about the gameplay video part. Uploading gameplay videos gives the game free publicity, especially for not so popular games and indie games. Many people find it fun to share videos of the games they play with the world, doesn't mean they are stealing content. If i purchase a game with my hard earned money, I should be allowed to record a video of me playing and share it with the world. I love my country, but starting to hate the direction its taking.

Great video, but you CAN review games without video footage, just show a screenshot or something of the game, or the boxart and talk about it, this way you still win

IGN did horrible reviews in my opinion. I don't completely agree with this bill BUT there is one thing people don't realize... or should I say the big gaming companies... complete walkthroughs for NEW GAMES should not be allowed. Why? I watch the game and don't buy it... this is usually if the game is single player. But hey, free walkthrough, why should I play it over? Some people will still buy it but once they understand, is it worth it to buy? No, and it can depend.

No, this bill will not do this. It does not apply to video games specifically. The owner of the computer the stream is directly being streamed from will be responsible, in this case YouTube. The exact same fair use law still applies to all copyrighted works - the right to use a needed amount of a work for its criticism, education or parody. Stop believing everything you tell each other.

I assume the bill is for youtube because they adhire to U.S Laws but for another website which server is located in europe or asia which is thus bound by different laws. I'm positive that you are still restricted from uploading anything from other website(s) regardless what service provider it is from; because you are still breaking the amendment. Not to mention, it is still a copyright property. Judging from this Bill, they are pretty serious about putting every illegal issues in place.

No, this bill will not do this. It does not apply to video games specifically. The owner of the computer the stream is directly being streamed from will be responsible, in this case YouTube. The exact same fair use law still applies to all copyrighted works - the right to use a needed amount of a work for its criticism, education or parody. Stop believing everything you tell each other.

Casey isn't able to be proved for murder, for 1. Well, no evidence, no trial can be used to convict her, especially because they tried to throw everything at her 2. There just isn't enough proof, or reason to really convict her. Motive, is a key problem with the case for her.

I assume the bill is for youtube because they adhire to U.S Laws but for another website which server is located in europe or asia which is thus bound by different laws. I'm positive that you are still restricted from uploading anything from other website(s) regardless what service provider it is from; because you are still breaking the amendment. Not to mention, it is still a copyright property. Judging from this Bill, they are pretty serious about putting every illegal issues in place.
Think of politics this way: A trend. If it works. Hell. Why not use it?

If theres a site that hosts streamed videos in another country and which follows there law there wouldnt be a problem. - Idiot Governments they can never get anything right.
