I just bought the CD on Amazon...I saw this band in 1981 and fell in love with them. I still have the LA Explosion album, but no turn table to play it on....LOL.
Thanks for the video; this was one of the bands that openned my eyes to what was out there beyond the opinions and choices of the corporate A&R toadies. I completely agree with hinodecho69; as I tell my 2 of my daughters who listen to all this thug crap: I'm not old, your music just sucks. The Vex, Masque, Madam Wong's, later the Cuckoos Nest, it was all about the music, not a style or uniform. For an Orange County kid right out of high school ('76) it was life changing.
A little note for you kiddies. In 1979-1980 you could have your choice of 2 or 3 shows just about every Friday or Saturday night, featuring bands of the caliber The Last - in other words, better than 99.9% of the crap pumped into your little skulls today. These were people who weren't geared around ego, or the need to project some cartoonified image of "thug culture" - just a bunch of young people with their own vision of what popular music should sound like. FWIW...
