Concrete Blonde's version remains the definitive version and my favorite. But Brod sings the song with such passion that I like it and will consider it a close second.
I first heard this song done my Broderick Smith at a folk club in Canberra a few years ago. I think he had a piano player backing him. To me it was the most memorable song of the night. Great to see him do it again.
