  • Great book, very informative. The only downfall that I saw was the repetitiveness of his main topics and issues. I strongly believed it could have been summed up in an essay. WIth that said, I found the book very refreshing to read. Ironically, I began reading the book through iBooks on my iPad, but the more I read, the more I realized what a different experience it was when I read a hardcover copy and wasn't 'connected.'

Thanks to Powers, I put the iPad down.

  • this book was amazing, and i'd recommend it for everyone to read.

i find it ironic though that CBS had this on their show.

at the bottom of the video it even says CBSNEWS.com - and when you go their site there is stuff all over the place saying stuff like

    follow us on twitter!

    become a fan on facebook!

download the episodes onto your ipad!

sign up for mobile news alerts!

this is pretty contradictory to William Powers' whole philosophy.

CBS is partially to blame for out over connectedness.

  • How are we managing to watch and internalize this 28 minute video if we are not able to stay focused on one task? Ironic huh?

  • Wow... this has NOTHING to do with Digital Philosophy. It's just Katie Couric talking about how the internet baffles her mind and this douche who apparently wrote a self help book about how to cope with technology. Really people... what the fuck...

  • wow she is so hot
