@Machomannorway , I remember her talking about it and i have that on tape,her conversation about it. her mama never wanted her to go at the tender age of 8 but a friend was able to talk her into it. she said he was like a little pea but he was larger than life. her husband was jealous because when he wanted to see Elvis,he got sick.so his mama would not let him go. I know that feeling ,I was in the audience when he did aloha from Hawaii.

I don't think I have ever known of any singer whos vocals have changed as drastically as Faith's have. She was an excellent singer here, but her vocals nowadays are now just unbeatable.

I was never a big fan of Faith's early on so when I did become I got very curious as to how her voice sounds like a different person now. I have read that she has had surgery on her vocal cords before for polyps so maybe that's the culprit. Actually though, I LOVE her voice so much more as it now than here in the earlier years. That twang here is just too much for me, and I'm from Georgia! LOL She still can sing quite high notes, buy her new Christmas album and see!

i love her voice! but have you guys noticed that her voice is much deeper when she sings now? or is that just me? like, you can so easily tell her earlier songs from her current songs- not just the content or the style of the songs- but from the pitch of her voice...

ive noticed it too. her voice has matured so much over the years. prolly do to the fact that she sings such a wide variety of music. she sings country, pop, gospel, soul, and power house types of songs. singin such a wide variety of music, her voice has deepened a tad and just matured.

@myrarobinson42 well I love her no matter how different she is now. I saw her in Las Vegas last year and she was amazing live!!! or maybe it was a year earlier,anyhow she is a true artist.
