  • Great Aria and performance. I detest Depardieu.

  • If you don't get a jolt out of watching the facial expressions of either Cecilia or Yo-Yo Ma as they perform, there's little hope left for you. They both express amazing joy as they exercise the very significant gifts that God has granted to them individually.

  • Ella es IMPRESIONANTE !!!!!!!!!! Bravo Cecilia Bártoli !!!!!!!

  • She looks so beautiful :)

  • the movie Amadeus had me ignorantly doubting salieri. i mean this is great!

  • 4:20- 4:54 makes me melt into a puddle. So painfully beautiful.

  • this is my personal favorite, a day without listening to it is incomplete I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

  • I still can´t explain why she´s my favourite opera singer...

  • Because Salieri was a giant. His students were : Beethoven,Schubert, Liszt, Czerny and Hummel. That's enough with story that he kill Mozart ! Puskin invented this story for his drama "Mozart and Salieri". Miloš Forman is an idiot. In Amadeus seems that Mozart odes Salieri and italian composer but the history was different. Stendhal wrote about Mozart: while Mozart would probably, had he lived, have grown completely Italian.....

  • Document done in Czech republic............and Prague

  • I loved this amazing work.

  • Thrax1982: Please don't apologize, you have done a marvelous job. putting the visuals and music together. This piece is simply wonderful.

  • Simply great music!!

It's a certain known fact that Beethoven himself (a student of Salieri) said thet Salieri was a very loving and appreciative person: He found it absolutely impossible that Salieri colud harm Mozart. Despite, he respected Mozart deeply for his unbelievable talent!!

Aureliano

  • Antonio Salieri was, and still is, truly a great composer. It's about time he becomes a recognized composer!!!

  • What an excellent work!

  • This is on a more elevated level to the requiem and concertante piece by salieri also on Youtube-i guess opera was his strong point.

  • Very beautiful!

    chris

Bravo Cecilia!!!

  • Que bella! Bellissima! Ti amo Cecilia! O la mia voce suprema bella!

  • Why have you deleted my comment? Was it inappropriate? I don't think so...

  • It says: 'comment removed by author'

  • Sorry, I forgot it... :(

  • her voice is so dramatic, and rich, which fitted perfectly for this types of aria

  • Whatever happened to music like this? Seriously!

  • this is a beautifull aria...de first melody is perfect, perfect!!! and beautifull....¿what says salieri in the video???

  • Salieri said (in the film above),

    [English]

"from my youth, I felt at least a music, if you want, which deliver us more alive,

more adequately of the truth of our feelings.

Because there is nothing counts but the truth of our feelings."

  • It's, like, written for her voice!

    I'm...

    speechless.

  • completely agree,

  • It was actually written for the young woman who was later Mozart's original Susanna in "Le Nozze di Figaro", Nancy Storace. If you've heard Bartoli sing any of Susanna's arias or the concert aria that Mozart later composed for Storace, Ch'io mi scordi di te Non temer amato bene K. 505, then you'll know why this aria sits so well in her voice. All of Storace's arias seem to set well with Bartoli.

  • That's because she's proto-divine.

  • Meraviglioso!

  • This aria is on The Salieri Album. One of the better tracks on a cd full of rare gems.

  • This one is my personal favourite.
