  • beautiful fluidity....

  • I can watch this all day long...

  • why so many replays?

  • @jackvids7 To illustrate the perfect swing

  • @mossy121c ok but there's still alot, no offence lol :D

  • I like the bit where Tiger hits an iron

  • how come that people watching this great technique video, rate those comments the highest, which are talking about his clothes?

  • Why is it he never finishes his backswing with his irons?

  • @MedicAlv1 what? how is he not finishing his backswing?

  • @waltercharliesmith he's trying to hit a cut

  • @tmgage1 i don't mean that, i mean he definitely is finishing is backswing

  • look and comment on my swing plz

    thanks

  • brh5934 u are wrongoooooo the loft is give ball the low and high trajectory idiot now the side spins do give you the hook and slice but yeah your wrong about spin going low and high

  • the loft together with the grooves give the ball Spin which makes it go high or low. however whit the longer irons, woods and driver you try to sweep it more giving it a penetrating trajectory (=less spin)

  • wth did he try to deloft it or did he play it smooth?

  • came out of that one early..

  • thanks for this vid the arrow really opened op my eyes about how the hips and shoulders work now im hitting it longer than ever.

  • How come the athlete looks like he's wearing clothes to goto work in an office, while the guy holding the bag wears such sporty outfit?

  • lol....is this a joke???? b/c on the PGA Tour u are required to wear slacks, w/ a nice tucked in shirt....

  • That's an interesting requirement. Why don't they require the athelete to wear a tie as well? How about dress shoes? Just like in the office.

  • its a sweater over his polo, when would you ever tuck in a sweater?

  • pga tour players are not allowed to wear shorts.

i like tiggys outfits; stylish and sophisticated but still maintain that athletic touch

  • @brh5934 thats definately a caddy

  • he is in the office as far as hes concerned...

  • haha good one

  • if your sweeping the ball it depends where the ball is in your stance, if you catching the ball on the upswing that will create more loft from your club. With a sweep swing that you catch on downswing or in middle you'll most likely be a lower shot unless you have a lot of weight on your back leg. A steeper swing will create a high launch angle and higher shot. A lot of other factors can effect that angle as well, but usually steep swing results in high flight.

  • Shallower is equals Higher! But remember that higher doesnt mean farther when it comes to irons, short irons go much farther when hit steeper, but long irons do not, to get the most out of long irons you must sweep them. Backspin doesnt effect the golf ball that much when it comes to trejectory.

  • u are 100% wrong.....u have posted numerous videos on Tiger descriibing shot shapes of his which are completely inaccurate, and once again u are wrong.

I appreciate ur love of iger and his game, but u know little to nothing about swing theory.

If u ask any decent player what they try to do when hitting into the wind they will try to shallow their swing out to bring the ball flight down and take spin off the ball. FACT

  • trajectory is entirely dependent on spin, low spin - low ball flight, high spin- high ball flight, side spin-hooks and slices

its the name of the game boss

  • What game ru playing? You ever been in the rough? ...Flyer lies can be hit low or high...with little spin. Spin helps pull the the ball in a direction but club face angle has a lot to do with it.

  • not really...you can hit a low spiner....actually the more you hit down on it the more spin you put on it....but you take spin off of it by swingin slower or not keeping you wrist cock all the way to the follow through...

  • have you watched tiger play? he hits low spiners or high shots that just drop and dont spin at all....

  • wrong about the shallow equals high theory btw.... steep swing path adds more backspin to the ball...making the ball go higher ...not the other way round... done it on on my PGA course...trust ME on this one chief lol

  • thats 100% right. The divot doesn't mean anything. Plain and simple:

Steep swing makes the ball go higher.

Sweep swing makes the ball go lower and if too sweepy you catch it fat unless youre hitting a driver.

  • yes sir, hes hitting a high shot, you can also tell by the very shallow divot through impact. If he were trying to hit it lower it would be a larger divot because the swing would be steeper. He slides his hips just a lil bit more than usual to shallow out his swing

  • the swing is definitely not steeper to hit it lower if anything you would flatten the plane and keep your finish low....large divots are not for any ball flight difference , its for spin...by the looks of it he's hitting it high without the deep divot to stop the ball from spinning back too much...wrong terms right idea, i noticed the hip thing too btw...

  • uhhh....100 % wrong...the steeper you get the higher the ball flight, the more shallow the lower......but yes he is hitting a high shot as evidenced by the high finish.....Tiger has always said he conrols trajectory by the height of his follow thru

  • no way man, why do we try to sweep the ball on tee shots? to reduce spin and get a HIGHER launch. The same goes for irons, you dont hit down on long irons, you sweep them with a slightly descending blow, otherwise they will only go head high. Trust me on this one cheif.

  • Your not always supposed to make a large divot on a low shot though. a steep swing can cause the ball to rise and that would not be good if he is trying to hit a low shot.

  • That is true in certain situations, For example in the deep rough with certain lies, you can either take your natural swing and the ball will not jump, or you can take a steep swing and make the ball jum out. In this video though he is not coming in steep and his high finish can mean one of two thing, he's hitting a high shot and/or a fade. if he were hitting a low shot, he would have a low finish. its not only commmon sense, he also describes it over and over whenever hes asked about it.

  • it's true in any situation....stop arguing it....Steep equals more backspin which equals more height......stop trying to save yourself, just admit you are wrong and move on.....

  • hes trying to hit it high, notice how he flicks his wrists towards the sky on the follow through and his ball position is a lil forward.

  • Where and when did you take this?

Looks like annika sorenstam with the head movement

  • he comes out the shot really early on this swing

  • great vid.
