  • Wish I could have seen them in person. Loved Mo so much, gone too soon.

Barry, what I would give to just meet you one time. Such great talents, to write and sing your own songs, and songs for others.

  • They might have been Beatle-ly influenced but they took it their own way and did pretty good. The Beatles, as good as they were, never harmonized like the Brothers Gibb. Your talking about brothers who grew up singing together and four lads from Liverpool that did just as well but had more individual egos and personalities. I like them both. I just don't understand the comments. Don't you think the Beatles were influenced by someone?

  • Какие они прекрасные )))))))) Восхитительную музыку дарят миру ))))))))))) Обожаю талантливых Bee Gees )))))))) Браво ))))))))) С любовью с России ))))))))

  • Great live performance by the Bee Gees. Jennifer Warnes covered this years ago on her first album -- she could always pick a great cover and do it justice. This is how I discovered this song. No matter. The Bee Gees, Jennifer Warnes -- both versions are incredible, sung with sincerity -- because this is one terrific song. It should be a standard.

  • Maurice, se te extraña!!!

  • "In the evening i will fly you to the moon"...so simple, so effective and so brilliant

  • Beautiful!

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs ever! These guys are genius!

  • Every now and then you hear a song by the Bee gees that you havenot really listened to. After listening to this tune I felt like I had be taken back to the days of innocence and youth, almost as if all the worlds' and my own troubles had gone away. Everyone has their own favourites but this song is as beautiful as any vision i could ever wish to see.

  • this feels like its just yesterday ^L^

  • Brilliant song, simple en effective.

  • Wow, it is like I found treasures overnight ! My Bee Gees in concerts, It is worth not sleeping the whole night and go through them all. .56 of them, so many hits in live concerts with almost 20 full viideo documentary as well !

    One word - INCREDIBLE !

  • @myunicon Agreed!!!!;-)

  • @Choefoe Hi there, thank you for agreeing with me, they are really good, love them!

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful. And to think they were just kids when they wrote this. Amazing. RIP Mo.

  • Gawd---I just love them!

  • Classic. No contemporary music can replace such great works

  • Thanks you Bee Gees for all your music!!!

  • 1:38 - Maurice jumps back from the mic and Barry smiles at him. .

    I love it . . . . . .

  • Paráda, viděla jsem na DVD celý tento koncert - nádhera.

  • Superb Tanks for posting ...

  • the bee gees are a legend...genius......

  • I love this song....3 brothers around one mic....magic...BeeGees are timeless.

  • I love this track and was both surprised and honored to witness them performing it on the European High Civilization tour in 1991.

One song of theirs I truly wasn't expecting them to perform and judging by the wild reaction it received I'm guessing no-one else was expecting it either.

  • Exelente rola , de las mejores de los Bee Gees ke mejor el MGM Grand de las Vegas para albergar todos los exitos y demas. Todo me recuerda a mi Padre

  • Awesome!!!!

  • in the morning, this is the morning of my life (8)

  • What a the beautiful lyrics in the song, They are such genius, can you imagine this song was written in " 60" s, how many kids would have this kind of talented from so young of age?

  • This song is beautiful I love the Bee Gees, but I also recommend Andy Gibb's version of this song. It is slower and gentler, and a really sweet video!!!

  • Bee Gees... dueños de un rincón de mi corazón, el más romántico de los recuerdos adolescentes...

  • I like the black and white more specialy Maurice, but this is also nice!!

  • This beautiful song was part of the soundtrack of one of the most memorable and unforgettable films I've ever seen. The movie's name is "Melody." It was made in 1971 and starred the late Jack Wild (the Artful Dodger in the movie "Oliver!" and the series "HR PufnStuff"), Mark Lester who also starrred in "Oliver!", and beautiful Tracy Hyde. I've never been so drawn in and captured by a movie. "Melody" is about first love, friendship and what it's like to be young. Go Bee Gees!!

  • @bunniview I first saw Melody in 1986 and I too loved it. I spent a good part of 86 seeking out the locations in South London. I've just this minute ordered it on DVD along with the soundtrack.

  • @airscrew1 Lucky you! I live in another country, but one day I'll make the rounds of the locations. First say the movie 2 years ago. How many times have I seen "Melody"? Too many to remember. Never been so enthralled with a movie before. I believe the beauty of the movie, for young ones and adults, are the charasmatic actors and the fact that the viewer has either been there ( a teenager) or are there now, so can identify with the characters. Take care.

  • @bunniview If you take a look at my channel you will see some film footage of the wasteground where the film ends. It is an out take from the film Villain but this is the old nine Elms railway depot.

  • @airscrew1 Thanks! Just watched it. I saw that Villain was filmed in 1971, I believe the same year as "Melody." I was going to request that the classic film theater in my area run "Melody." Don't know if they can or will do it, but I will see.

  • @airscrew1

I have seen it probably 50 to 100 times. I have some of the dialogue remembered by heart. Great movie, great songs. Alan Parker was the screen writer. It wasn't popular in the US. But boy was this movie a success in Asia, South America and Mexico.

  • @bunniview

I think we have something in common. There is something special about the movie. It is a cult film. In other word, there is still a lot of followers of this film though it is coming up 40 years old.

  • i remember when i was 6 my mom and dad playing this on a nice relaxing morning on a sunday.

i loved it back then and i still love it now :')

  • This has to be the most beautiful love song ever.

  • oh I k love that smile of MOs so sweet Love U mo ,he is being quyte restrained not clouning like he often does when they are all around a mlke

  • its so nice to watch these guys share 1 Microphone sheer genius ....love you

  • the good music is for ever

  • great comments. i like bee gees very much.

  • best of the best that's why my brother loves you guys, i love to remember my brother with the music he must love RIP Maurice, Andy and my brother he was the biggest fan and me too

  • BRM Gibb - wonderful and spiritual and special and personal - thank you guys for helping me thru my teenage years...

  • Talk about taking me back! I still have this album on vinyl, bought after seeing the film in the early 70s. These guys just get better with age. I had a huge crush on Maurice in the 60s and was so jealous when he married Lulu. RIP Maurice and Andy. Two more special people taken far too early.

  • How can someone NOT like this song?! It is so gentle and pure . . . very relaxing.

  • Brilliant !

  • this son brings backs tons of nostalgic memories......esp SWALK by Mark Lesters

  • I remember the movie "Melody Fair" whenever I listened to this song. Great movie and Great songs too. Bee Gees are genius.

  • What a beautiful, soothing song. So refreshing . . . . . Love Barry's facial gesture @ 3:50.

  • This sounds like something before their disco sound. I like it.

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 Correct. Some of their best stuff was pre-disco.

  • @1Witchitait Their career lasted for 50 years. disco was only a few years of that, but most known to most people because it was the biggest selling album of all time, 5 hits in top 10 a blessing can also turn out te be a curse, and most funny part is, they did not write a single song for saturday night fever, they just gave the manger a few songs for the next album that where ready and on the shelf, they told that in "this is where I came in"most funny

  • @PrsFenderJackson1980 Actually, Barry Gibb was just 14 when he wrote this song, that is what I call real genius!

  • Just to be fair.

  • great song, couldnt be better

  • eu tenho esse show, muito bom

  • Makes me fall inlove to my wife even more..

"this is the morning of my life.."

  • Summers coming, roof of the car, this song playing....wow! bring it all on!

  • @LukeShoveller Dont forget your glasses, lube too and the adress of the man who drilled you the night before Harry.

  • @LukeShoveller Well at least I am a little more contextual Harry, you are barely literate.

  • @LukeShoveller Harry, I would rather braid the hairs on my ass than attempt to have a conversation with a mere underling like you.

  • no more hand on the ear, Rob..now new technologies ease singing and tuning

  • real nice

    i love then

  • siempre seran los mas grandes.

  • I'm tempted to say it's all effortless.

But I suspect there's the good fortune to find three voices that can harmonise well.

And I'm certain the performance reflects many hours of rehearsal.

A couple of weeks ago my son sent me an MP3 of him singing this song. He's in Oz studying medicine, but performs at a local restaurant twice a month, using guitar or piano.

What did I think, he asked later. I was in tears, if I'm honest. It was his mum's favourite song. He was only 3 when she died.

  • Fantastic... I am glad he is OZ we do our best to look after the smarter people of the world.....

  • Actually a British band.

  • Lived in Australia since they were 7 years old, hard to say whether BRITSH OR AUSTRALIAN, they call themselves Aussies though......

  • Not quite Oz, but alas they are great.

  • Barry Gibb was almost 11 when they emigrated to Australia, in a conversation with Robin Gibb at one of the tea parties held at his home, he described himself as "essentially British"

  • Real superstars, no doubt about it, the harmony is pure ecstasy, the songs are sublime, what more can you ask for? This particular tune is almost to beautiful to describe.

  • melody was an enormous hit in my country ,argentina!

the film, the soundtrack and the bee gees songs!

  • Johnny Mathis opens with this!!! love this speaking as a poet!!

  • Its a classic song, written at such a very young age too, so nostalgic in every way, when singers wanted to please people and not themselves, I just adore the song!

  • They still got IT! The Bee Gees up to this point are still brillant!

  • Great song - I never heard it from the Bee Gees before. This was a big hit in Germany for Esther and Abi Ofarim in the late 60's.

  • Check out a dvd movie called s.w.a.l.k. or better known as Melody. It has the origional song with some of the other singles from the Bee Gees entering their prime.

  • No they did not! Barry Gibb wrote this when he was 14 before the Bee Gees became famous. Why do people make things up?

  • Got to admit that BG is very talented. In the morning has such a simply melody but the music so beautiful given it was written by a 14 year old. Many Americans still trashthe Bee Gees because of their association with the Disco era. They really overlooked their earlier success. Their talent and song writing capability equal that of the Beatles. Little did most people know that during the peak of the Disco era, 1978, Barry Gibb wrote Rest Your Love on Me which became a country hit.

  • Rest Your Love On Me was the B side to Too much Heaven, Barry Gibb is no stanger to country music, he has written many country songs, Sweetheart,Dont Forget To Remember Me, just two that spring to mind, but there are many more.

  • Come On Over is another that fits in that category.

  • el video no es bueno pero la cancion tiene clase es una buena cancion

  • agree with glennymonkey1

  • good song but not their best ,

  • Comment removed

  • @Kaya1955 What are you wittering on about?and to whom?

  • Amazing tunes, lyrics, harmonies these guys come up with. THEY ARE A LEGEND.

  • RIP Maurice :(

  • Written by Barry Gibb at the age of 14, that is what I call pure genius, is it any wonder this band have been so successful, the Gods Of Music at work, stunning!

  • @TENRECORDS I could not have said it better!!

  • I'm getting this sheet music

  • This song is timeless and delightful. Incredible that even as kids such lovely pieces were being produced by the Brothers Gibb. Thank you Bee Gees!

  • A very lovely song.

  • I think it's really a pure song: the lyric and singing.

  • they are always the best...hope they will sing again together!

  • ese wey no ha cambiado para nada en los años..pero sus hermanos un buen que han cambiado jajajaja

    el pelon jajaja xD

  • Such a beautiful song. Thanks raymondje! Thanks Bee Gees!

  • This song just has a feelgood factor about it, it makes you glad to be alive, and makes you realise that life is for the living, it takes me to a better place everytime I listen to it.

  • My all time favorite! is there a way to download and copy this on a DVD?

  • Oh I love this song!!!!! thank you for upload!!!!!!!

  • I love that movie too, Melody...starring Mark Lester.....there was the song named Melody Fair....also good....but I like" In the Morning "most of all...the wording is so beautiful...Oh...another song that was great too " to love somebody " thank you for posting...

  • Yes there are two names for the film S.W.A.L.K. and then it was called Melody

  • Yeah, it was a wonderful movie. I was in my teens then. Me & my frens watch many many times at the cinema. Greetings from Singapore....you can watch the full-length movie from Google Movie....search for Meloday. Starring Mark Lester, Tracy Hyde & the late Jack Wild. Thanks Bee Gees for the wonderful memories.....

  • I think there were two other movie names, Love Melody and To Love Somebody. The promotion was terrible in the US. That was the reason the movie never got off the ground in the US. But Asia and South America and Mexico were a smash. David Puttnam, the producer of Melody, said that the movie was a flop in the US, but Japan received great success which gave him the money to do other projects.

  • Does anybody know the title of the film of which this song was the opening sountrack of the movie stariing Mark Lester of Oliver fame ?

    Thanks

  • aww...man i love this dvd!

when my family used to travel...we always listened to the Cd version of this performance...i love it...so much thanks for putting it up.
