One thing I like about russian weaponry when it comes to games like this is that the majority of most of russia's military weapons all came from blueprints of german weapons. Such as the RPG-7 which has similar design to that of the Panzershreak, idk if I spelled that right, but its really awesome. AK47 which had some similar designs to that of the German MP45, Germany is pretty much reponsible for all modern day weapons, except for t-34 one tank the Tiger could never defeat ^ ^

Actually no offense POM, but the first panzerschrek sucked because they didn't make the blast shields, so quite a few German soldiers got their faces burned off... The next model was better, but I like the Panzerfaust much better that latter versions of the Panzerschreck...

@czechchineseamerican The Panzerfaust was a nice anti-materiale weapon, but up to a certain point of course. The panzschrek it later years wasn't too bad but there were some better alternatives.

@imaddictedtowow112 with the later 76 mm main cannon it was more formidable against tanks but for the most part Sherman tank tactics revolved around outmaneuvering and flanking enemy tanks in superior numbers, german armor might have been better but it was slower and the Heer coudln't field as many Panver IV's to have a numbers advantage.

@Uburan the sherman was a pretty average medium tank for it's time, although sub-par to it's German counterparts the sherman's strength was that it was cheap and that America could mass produce a whole lot of them, America wasn't the superpower renown for it's cutting edge technology and superior firepower back then like it is now.

@Uburan Sherman tanks were not named very well, Sherman was a ruthless general and the Firefly is perhaps the only one that can stand up to that reputation. Meanwhile the T-34 models were arguably the best ones of all time...

@Uburan Agreed. More sloped armor and the gun was a lot nicer than the Sherman's, well the Firefly's gun was a quite effective gun and could be comparable to the T-34, maybe. But yes, all around the T-34 was better than the Sherman.

@Uburan In terms of track size, the 85mm gun and the ability to be produced on a mass scale i would agree. However, i believe that the training of the average sherman crew would have surpassed the ablility's of a T-34 crew. Still a big fan of the T-34 tho :)

What are some tactics to take out a T29 and Pershing? Cuz my dad and I had some 3v3 the other day and our opponent had 2 of each haha....my King Tiger was bouncing rounds like a hoe off the front of both.

Don't feel bad, it pisses me off too that they added prototypes and even 100% fake equipment for balance. USA simply had no good tanks during WW2, Pershing was slower and less reliable than the Tigers, and never made it to the front in numbers.

My suggestion is to engage frontally with Heavy Tanks, then flank with Panthers or infantry with AT grenades or Panzershreks/Panzerfausts

the problem with this game is the uber tanks, they are invincible from the front, and as the map is square and usualy 3v3 4v4 5v5 there is no room to flank.

so the start of the game there are lots of tactics and movement, but late game is just a row of uber tanks sat still, with autoaim enabled, just killing everything (except other uber tanks) and it becomes a complete stalemate unless you move (and by moving forward, you lose your tank)

Its not that they "couldn't" beat them, they were forced to pull out by increase public protest against the war. Had the United States diverted all resources to actually winning the war and went through with it, they would have won the war, albeit with pretty heavy casualties.

Just so you know, the US Marines kill death ratio over there was 9:1, so its not like the Viet Cong kicked their ass or anything. Its just that American civilian mentality on war was different from that of the Vietnamese.

Actually, it does, considering there were 1,100,000 deaths for the NVA. The difference between the two are the types of governments. In North Vietnam, its not like a dictator is going to stop because the public is upset that soldiers died, whereas the US is a democracy and have to listen to the public.

1,100,000 deaths, how many of those do you think were civillian, not all but a lot would have been. But pulling out was a bad idea regardless of public opinion, because after the Tet Offensive the NVA and VC were essentially decimated, so victory wouldn't have been hard to achieve after that.

Its not so much how fast our soldiers were dying as much as the way our public reacted to the death of soldiers. It sounds cruel, but a North Vietnamese life simply wasn't worth as much to the Vietnamese generals as an American life was to the American public. The Vietnamese mentality towards the war was much more different than the Americans.

The American public didn't believe in getting themselves tangled in foreign conflicts, and protested, though. So we had to pull out.

i played this map only once. we agreed to only infantry. i was moving through the open field (big mistake in itself) with a large amount of riflemen and submachine gunners and a few machine gunners about 6 squads of each except the machine gunners i think i had 3. so all these men are moving to the end of the field and a bunch of his machine gunners open fire on them and cut all of them to shreds.
