AHHHH i posted a question on reddit asking for a similar situation, I believe what your doing is called a lowest common multiple selection or something, so let's say the clock on one side of an AND gate has 5 ticks, and the other side has 7 ticks. the AND gate will only pulse when the clocks are in phase, which will be at 35 ticks on either one, like 35 on the 5 clock and 35 on the 7 clock. a brilliant method, very good for precision timing if you control the clock lengths.
the total time is the lowest common multiple of the ticks of the repeaters on each side

but the idea you got is excellent .. i was relying on dispencer clock so far for long duration timer, but ima switch to yours from now on ;)
