There has never been a market in human history without a government. It is like having a human being without a brain. Labor and business is created by government.
What madness to consider labor and business without government - a capitalist utopia.
Thank you very much. You have helped me a lot. I listen to your lectures tot help fill in the parts that I didn’t grasp during lecture in class, and it fills in the parts my professor may not have mention. Thank you for your service
Thank for the explanation! My stupid AP book uses some crazy complicated words that make it so difficult to comprehend, you explain it really simply though!
You def need a new book, lols.. my economics book is so easy to read, esp after going to lectures and watching these vids (though i should be reading them before i go to lectures.. lols !, i might just watch these vids before i go, then read after cuz im lazy)
I understand the difference between micro and macro economic study, but it seems as though many, especially intellectuals, have not only divided the two in studies but have adopted different economic laws for each, which IMO is very dangerous. An example is the thought that our government can spend its way back into prosperity.
@jodiecongirl When you are around the dog & toy all day you filter the sound out, so you almost cant hear it in the video while others notice it fast :-)
This is very useful! I'm in my last year of school (in the UK) and am tryign to understand the coalition agreement of our new government. I hit 'Banks and Business' and got baffled. This is, I think, really going to help me understand economics. I really want to understand how the government, politics and economics work together and the different offers made by, say, left wing rather than right wing parties...
Need all the help I can get with School so I've recently looked on line for fun/interesting videos. I found help with Math (Yay Math); there's the fun and now I think I've found help with Microeconomics. Your videos are definitely interesting (you're easy on the eyes!). Good luck and keep it interesting. You got my attention now I hope you can keep it! Thanks for the help - I look forward to having my own personal tutor!
Nice videos. To add to the discussion, I've always thought the best contrast between Macro v Micro was presented in Colander's History of Economic Thought.
Micro issues are primarily concerned with allocation and efficiency.
Macro issues are primarily concerned with growth and stability.
i like the way that marker sounds ;3

Living in a society that essentially coerces you to "rent" yourself out is still slavery, only you get to pick your slave-master.
