@westjetpilot69 I take my motivation from people who tell how hard it is, and that I'll probably fail. Hopefully going first solo tomorrow, thanks for that extra bit of inspiration :)
Man i love that approach. Im only a FSX pilot, but the Aerosoft Twin Otter with Fly Tampa add on scenery ,and TrackIR ..you cant get any closer too the real thing. Well maybe with a Motion Sim,But who can afford on of those...lol
It's something about the roar of the engines and the propeller blades slicing through the air that makes me love the DHC-6. I plan to become a pilot soon.
you need dedication, to actually do your part everynight and actualy study for the exams and not just look over the answers and go from there, you need to KNOW what your actually reading......and money. unfortunetley the aviation industry is one of the most pricey career choices of today. Also do try to stay away from getting DUI's etc. I was never good at math either, if your going to post secondary like a college or uni it'll depend on what their standards are for new student.
@drummerkid69 Thanks drummer kid, actually, I believe I do have the dedication it takes. Before I graduated I bought the book kit from a local flight school and was doing all the exercises after my homework, and this winter, I'll be starting the online groundschool course for PPL, and start flight lessons in May. I hope I can accomplish this dream, I was born with the bug!
This isn't the time to trash talk careers. In 5 years, the aviation industry will need pilots and wages will go up. Don't crush a person's dream for your personal pleasure. If you continue like this, you'll end up as a McDonald's cook for the rest of your life.
It's guys like you that I despised in high school. People telling me i couldn't become a pilot, really, stop. I just broke 4000 hrs this month. FO- West jet
@westjetpilot69 That is so cool. i live in calif. i used to have a car with license plate that read WESTJET. i am a huge airplane fan. taking ANZ 777 to AKL in a few weeks for a bike ride across aussie solo 5000km. keep up the good work. if its not boeing im not going. i also love the DHC-6 for some reason... never flown in one YET.
you sir, are my inspiration! i just got my Privet on my 17th birthday, and im now doing my IFR training, getting ready for college. One day i hope to be in your position! thank you! Andy R. Home airport : KIGQ Hours : 45
