@Diuxid Yeah, if they're not prepared correctly, eating pufferfish will kill you. They take out the gonads and liver and something else. Blowfish and pufferfish are the same thing. Its very bland tasting, and your lips get numb because theres a trace of the neurotoxin left no matter what you do. Its very bland though.

@SoundwaveSuperior373 puffer fish are probably the cutest fish in the ocean besides clown fish. I speared a huge one in the tail and it puffed up to the size of a small tire but it still had a smile on its face...i just couldnt kill it after that.

there is not much taste to it, unless it is seasoned or cooked with condiments, but if you were to eat in sashimi form it is pretty bland in my opinion, has a lot of texture to it, kind of rubbery

@elitestar yup it would be raw. Though taste may be usually the main reason you taste food, with blow fish, it's like bungee jumping, you get an adrenalin rush doing something that might be deadly. Blow fish is prepared served by specially trained and licensed chefs called fugu chefs and the trick is to cut it perfectly to make sure the meat served is not deadly but contains a bit of venom to give you a bit of a tingling sensation. blow fish is not tasted, it's experienced
