  • Wow!!! I had to slow down some of the video to see your artwork....VERY NICE!!! Do you have any of your work that you sell or have replicated to sell?? You are a Jack of many trades, and apparently, also a Master of Many!! :0)

  • girl i feel you on that crappy apt. im stuck in one now.it totally sucks!!!

  • I simply want to thank you for the 'Financial Advice' series. I've been your subbie for a while, but have only just seen these videos. They're an inspiration, wake up call, slap in the face etc - just like many have complimented.

    Thank you and God bless!

  • Credit is a poor master but a great servant. I learned that the hard way.

  • im 16 and i am learning so much from you. i have been a sub since january 2010 and you are the inspiration that made me go natural. ive watched all of your vids like 20 times!!! my parents are in the real estate buisness so i knew alot of what you said already, but hearing it from you and seeing your financial journey helped me understand it more. i love you!!!!!

p.s.- after seeing this i want to take a back packing trip too!!!!

  • Thanks for the series. I can't seem to find Part 4. Am I missing something?

  • hello beautiful, its me again loll (a new subscriby!!) where is part 4???? so looking fwded to it!!!

  • Hello, after watching your financial series I chose to subscribe to your channel. I find your videos very inspiring especially since I have also been in the same predicament. Do you have a Part 4 to this video? I would really love to see it. Well thanx and have a great day!

  • do you recommend any books on saving?

  • Wow did I hear you say Mahattan Ks, I live in fort Riley!!!!!!!!!! I have enjoyed your vids so much. I too once had bad credit when I got married but, now I am 26 debt free, a business owner thank God. It took us 2 years but it done. yeaaaaaaaaaaah peace :)

  • Thank-you, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU! This video series has given me the courage to dive into fixing my credit! I CAN control how I respond to life and re-build my credit! So many want to help you, FOR A PRICE! This series is PRICELESS to me and will catapult me on my way to a more positive future! I appreciate what you are doing to help women/people to empower ourselves!!! Keep doin what you are doin and may you be blessed beyond anything you could ask or imagine! THANKS KIMMAY!!!!!

  • i Love your videos! I am learning so much from you, keep up the good work:-)

  • Its always good to see other women who have big dreams and making them a reality coz it inspires you to do the same with yourself and that is what I seek in friends otherwise they just drag you down with them. You have been such an inspiration for me to live up to my own! thanks girl keep up doing what you do!

  • Wow girl! I must say I admire you soo much! There are very few women out there who have the determination, mindset, ambitions and brains like you do. I'm always disappointed by my girlfriends(none of them really think about stuff like money, careers goals etc)I try to get them to, but they are busy with gossip and other trivia things. I always wish to find friends who are more success driven. I even gave up and thought such women don't exist anymore. We need more women like you seriously! cont..

  • Thank You SO MUCH for this info! As a 22 year old art student, I'm scared out of my WITS abou whether or not I will be able to support myself but now I know :

    -to save, save, save!

-only purchase what you can comfortably buy

    - raise my credit score by paying off student loans

    - and look in secure credit cards.

    I'm a little more confident.

Oh yeah, and your artwork is AMAZING!

  • Love this series of videos! I'm on the upswing with my OWN credit, and I'm working very hard to instill the importance of credit and money management in my kids. This was great information. I really appreciate it and will DEFINITELY share it with my sons (the oldest one is 16).

  • This is such an inspirational video. You do a great service for ALL!

  • I was just like you at 16....a workaholic and I saved every dime...for a car too...now Im 24, a college grad and feel the need to spend every dime I have or dont have and feel like I NEED to go shopping, keep my nails, hair, pedi done, etc...I luv when you said "I looked back to my 16 year old self for inspiration." I will do that too!

  • Wow you traveled to all those countries..tats crzy!

  • Thank you for these wonderful videos. I'm one of your subscribers and had seen this series of videos you posted in my subscriber list and am now just watching them. I have some financial stories myself, I need to get a camera and start uploading videos. I lived off of my student loans for years and now paying it all back and I'm 6 yrs older than you. I'm reading 'The Total Money Makeover' and hopefully I'll be on track financially soon.

  • im glad i watched this. Thanks for the upload.

  • ok i need help i am living off of my school money given to me every semester and my aunt and everybody else is telling me to open a bank account what i am telling them is that if i did that they would close my account becauses i dont have a job what is your advice am i right? ( i dont have a job to keep money in and you have to keep money in for them to keep it open)

  • This was great!!!!!!!!!!!!My favorite part of this video was when you said, that I had bad credit didn't mean that I'm a bad person. I'm fixing my credit and it takes a lot of work, and effort. Thank you for sharing your story with all of us. You r truly an inspiration!!!!!

  • thanks for posting these financial clips. shows me i need to re-evaluate some things in my life.

  • Hi. I just drove a long distance to pick up my two young boys after getting out of class and thought I would take a quick glance at youtube and some how stumbled across your page. that was 3hrs ago. lol. I am 27 and you have truly given me hope and a plan. Thank you so much. it can be embarrasing at times to think that I havent got it together financially but viewing your videos have put my mind and soul at ease. keep up the excellent work!

  • OMG you are soooo amazing, I'm currently 23 and I'm learning so much from you to help improve my credit and financial situation. Thank you sooo much for all that you do!!! :)

  • I needed to see this. You are helping so many people this way. I'm on the path to credit redemption and it's not easy by any means. I say all the time tha I wish that my parents would have talked to me more about money and explained these things to me. I try to share my knowledge as much as I can. Good job on your vids.

  • How do you get a FREE credit report? I had to pay $25 for Experian one time.

  • Part 4 anywhere to be found? Great personal story of your road to financial education

  • Awesome :-)

  • Honorable mention to the little apple. I went to Kansas State, in Manhattan Kansas :)

  • We have a very similiar story...I was younger, and unfortunatley I didn't get bad credit from a necessity (car)...I decided to put college trips on a credit card - ugh! I've shoutted my story to everyone in my family, their friends, and their friends friends. I never thought of making videos. You're good!

  • Hilarious! As I sit and watch this video an advert for pay day loans comes up. Priceless. Any who proving great inspiration while I complete my stack of job applications to get on the next rung.

  • where iz iv pleaze lol

  • Kimmaytube this is a great series! Where is Part IV? LOL! I think anyone at any age can learn from this. I am older than you and still learned some things or atleast looked at things from a different perspective. Either a friend or I personally experienced something you've talked about over the last four videos during the 90s. I can remember a friend thinking her car was stolen only to find that it had been reposessed!

  • I just love your personality Kim and thank you so much for your advice! Thankfully i had an accountant father to help me avoid many of the pitfalls that young fresh out of HS consumers may fall into. So now I am 29, my own house, my own truck, only ONE credit card which I will be paying off in two weeks... AMEN! I am going to take your advice about saving though! 60K in the bank is inspirational!

  • part 4 I cant wait I keep checking...love ya!!!

  • I absolutely looove ur videos! I was having such a bad day and "accidentally" discovered u through Madame C.J Walker's website and I am so glad I did! I am just so inspired and touched by u and "I" as a 20 year old(soon 2 be 21 year old ;) blk female) appreciate you so much 4 doing this .You described ME to a "T" lol in part 1 and it was really just a wake up call 4 me during these trying times, SO THANK YOU SO MUCH I am so grateful 4 this!!!Thank you 4 caring and may god truly bless you!!!

  • Is Part 4 available yet?

  • I absolutely love the fact that you have taken the time to share this invaluable information so that others may learn from your experience. I am sure many who view this video (including myself) will forever be grateful that you shared. Thank You!

  • how long did it take you to save up for the euro trip? i want to do that when i graduate from college within a year.

  • Comment removed

  • I do the same thing! bank is in new york and i go to school in hawaii. i always get cash back using my debit card.

  • When will part 4 come out? This has been some very helpful advice!

  • One word - AWESOME!!!

  • I love your vids so much because you mix the fun with the informative...thanks a bunch.

  • i thoroughly enjoy your videos. i am in the process of paying off debt including student loans. it looks impossible, but with God all things are possible--I just have to work at it. thanks for the encouragement.

  • i have enjoyed your financial series. please post the 4th part soon :)

  • I am so sharing these videos with my nieces and younger friends on FB! This was EXCELLENT! Keep up the great work! You are definitely an inspiration!

  • I'm 25 with a lot of debt...I really wish I could have saw this when I was still an undergraduate lol...but I will definitely take heed to your advice...I am in the process now of beginning to manage my debt and stop dodging the bill collectors! I don't want to be burdened by overwhelming debt and bad credit for ever.

  • Hello. Great video and advice. I'm only 20 years old and my parents always drilled this into my head from a young age: "DONT. GET. A LOAN! If you can't afford it.. don't get it" Even being well educated, temptation comes and goes and has almost gotten the best of me.

My friends around me are taking out loans on expensive cars and living for today.

Thanks for reminding me that tomorrow DOES come and that I should keep this in mind.. ta

  • I am 24 with a lot of time and money and I need to do something about/with it. Thanks for the inspiration. My credit is okay I think...I just need to get on my grind. I also need to travel just like u did. I have a degree and I will be getting my masters. I live at home and I plan to for a while...I hope I meet my dream man soon!

  • Thanks for the info on the FICO scores. This whole time I thought the credit score was what really mattered. Great video!

  • I thank you so much for making these videos. I wish I would have heard this earlier on. I will be sharing this series to help my younger friends and family.

  • This is brilliant!! I called it the things that I know now that I wished I knew back then!!! You are absolutely right, to share something as important as the importance of credit!!! I look at credit cards as a layaway plan, meaning I paid it off b4 the month ends. With all honesty, the best investment you could ever have which does not depreciate is your education & your home!!! God Bless & continue to give our young people advice on the matter!! Happy Holiday!!

  • I think it is great that you are doing these videos. I have a similar story, however some of my credit issues came from a parent who decided to put things in my name without my knowledge. It made life difficult, and I too had to take steps in repairing my credit. I'm now in grad school and my husband and I are closing on our home on the 29th, so there is life after bad credit. I will tell everyone to take their credit serious, and please don't try to impress others with "things"!

  • I admire you so much...I'm 22 with some bad credit - hoping to take your advice and HUMBLE MYSELF!

  • i want to go to europe

  • OMG! I'm loving these more and more as I watch! As a senior in college who will be graduating in five months all of this is very informative and truly inspirational. I can't thank you enough Kimmay!

  • I admire the fact that you only wear a wedding band instead of a large bling'd out ($10,000+) ring. I think that's another financial mistake many women/couples makes at the outset of marriage - getting into debt from day one (the wedding).

  • What was the secure card that you opened? All the cards I have researched don't have the ability to become unsecured. I found one card that I was interested in opening, but it still will not ever become unsecured.

    Thank you

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

  • "Don't buy what you can't afford--comfortably." I would love to travel. How did you pay for that? I need to start saving.

I was just about to ask about student loans! I have 20k+. I am a little concerned about getting it paid off, and I don't want it to take 15 years. And hey, I ride the bus. It helps the pockets and the environment. Just takes more time.

  • oops..I posted the comments at the wrong video....the previous comments were meant for the one on your rant...

  • my previous comment was too long..here's part 2 Actually what is optional is having the right to choose your major because many african parents want their kids to either study business, medecine or law..if you do languages like me, people think that you are wasting your time...so this video was very eye-opening for me because we were always told that you cannot live well with only a high school degree. a bachelor's degree is a minimum

  • this video is soo eye opening! I love this series!

As an African woman, I was very surprised when you said that many AA discourage their children to pursue higher education. Please Kimmay I am not trying to start a debate on Africans vs Africans-Americans. so please don't read this comment as an offense. I was very surprised because I thought that college was mandatory. I never saw it as an option. Actually what is optional is having the right to choose your major

  • i love your vids.... looking forward to part 4.

  • Man! You must be a sagitarius. All that traveling & purples;) I could be wrong though. You're very driven nonetheless

  • Thank you for this series. This information if so POWERFUL!! I have a young and upcoming sister in college and I've been trying to coach her on this for quite sometime. I work in Corporate America and live this everday. Do ya thang girl.....I love it!!!

  • Thank you so much for your fearlessness, your honesty, your innate beauty. So proud of you and excited each time you make a video. You are annointed~ may god bless and keep you, I truly appreciate all that you do!

  • (this is my first ever youtube comment lol) but WOW... you have truly been sent from God to YouTube because when I tell you I'm in the same place that you were in before your financial redemption... girl, I'm THERE... I'm 22 and I don't even have a full SCOPE of how bad my credit is at this time... but this series has inspired me to get my finances back on track... seriously... thank you.

  • I must say that before watching this series, I envyed you in a way because you seemed SOO perfect and everything was peachy for you. But seeing that you had the same problems I am currently experiencing helps me relate to you greatly and the fact that you escaped the horrendous debt demon that many of us fall trap too is such an inspiration. Thanks so much for these series, gives me a lot of hope that I too can get my financial life back on track!

  • AWESOMENESS!!!!

  • WOW. Absolultely love the throw back pics! And travel you did!!!! I'm sooo jealous. I have just recently starting traveling as well and it feels GREAT! Loved it, all of it!

  • you grew up in MD??? ME TOO!!!

  • Your are truly a inspiration! I appreciate the information you have shared but I also like that you want us to get up and do research ourselves. I have learned a lot from this series :)

  • OMG! How is it that you look so much like your 23 year old self? You don't look like you've aged a bit! You go girl! You should be the epitamy of "Black Don't Crack!' Looking good and great video as always!

  • Well Kimmay, you've done it again. In fact, I am going to send your videos to people I know. We can all be inspired by you together! The world needs to hear your story---Perhaps you should consider writing a book.

  • Thanks for the info. I'm 26, graduated from my grad program about 3 years ago, gainfully employed in a good field and own my property. However, I recently found out that my family members have taken out 3 different loans under my name without my permission and I'm fairly certain that they won't be able to completely pay them off and can only make minimum payments. I don't want to turn them into the authorities but I don't want to be responsible for this debt.... what do I do?

  • This is sooo inspiring! Despite ur set backs you learned from them and kept it moving. I can relate to this in sooo many ways because Im 22 years old, am an art student and I really want to travel . I was once very good at saving, when I graduated highschool, but Ive fallen off a little. I still have great credit, but want to get back to saving better.

    Thanks for the great video!

What exactly did you do in your consulting business?

  • my husband has the SAME mentality about cars. Both of our cars are OURS. He always says the same thing "nobody can come take them from us" I mean granted we've been through about 4 cars in our 5 years of marriage but each car we've owned only gets better!! Thanks so much for sharing. Have you ever heard of Dave Ramsey, he is an AWESOME financial advisor who is multi-millionaire who started out being bankrupt, you should check out his story if you haven't already!

  • Wow your story reminds me off myself! Thanks 4 sharing!

  • Whooo! This is deep. Tell us your story, sis!

    Preach!

  • can t wait to see part 4 !!!! love those videos !

  • I'm so loving your videos on finances because I'm 24 years old and my credit is not so good :-/...How did you like Brussels (Belgium) by the way?

  • these videos are awesome.

  • Hey Kimmay!

I love these vids! I make sure I rate them every time I watch! I am 21 years old and this will help a lot of my peers out here who don't have the financial knowledge/guidance.

I have yet to open a credit card...I am holding off until I graduate from college and start my career, however; I am thinking about opening a low interest credit card in the next year or so to establish credit little by little!

Thanks again for your advice and HARD WORK you put in your vids!

  • I'm older than you and it goes to show that your never to old to learn something new! :-) Great video and please keep them coming!! Peace.

  • i'm 20 and ur videos r soo helpful! my parents never warned me about this kind of stuff! thanx

  • Oh yeah I am sharing these videos with my 15 year old, 18 year old and 19 year old sisters!! So thank you!!!

  • What you're sharing with these videos regarding your own financial experiences from youth up until now is a beautiful thing. I am a 22 year old college student who has a few credit cards. I've been working since the age of 14 (every single break from school including two jobs while in college). I do have credit card debt which worries me when I think of life after college. But your video gave me some great ideas. So thank you.

Keep doing beautiful things! You ARE making an impact. :-)

  • I love these mini series! Can't wait to watch the nest one

  • I am so glad that you are making these videos!

  • Great video!!!!

  • Great advice. I wish someone would have shared such wisdom with me when I was 23 years old. I'm passing this on to my nieces.

  • I love these videos so much you are helping me out im 18 and Im still in high school. Thank you so much for your time and commitment I truly appreiciate it and cant wait for the next video too come out.

  • Hi Appplecidder!

aw, you are so sweet. I recognize your name because you are one of my loyal subbies who always leaves a nice comment. :0)

I had no idea you were only 18. You are a baby! LOL. Actually you're not. lol. At 18 you can get into all sorts of credit trouble. Please heed my warnings and learn from my mistakes. You will save yourself so much trouble. Know that saving is powerful. Like I said enjoy a little bit, but SAVE as much as you can. U won't be sorry. peace.

  • I love this series!! I am 23 (lol) and I am a recent college grad. I will begin paying for my student loans in about 6 months (ahhhhh). So I really appreciate this series. Its a great way for me (and others) to learn and gain knowledge through your experiences!

Question: Why do credit bureaus want your credit card info? I am a little skeptical to give out my credit card #, especially when they claim to be free.

  • Hi nigerianQT814!

    You're welcome! :0)

Hey, I'm not sure why you are running into problems ordering your report. Your report should be FREE. But Credit Bureaus are famous for trying to SELL you scores. Check it out - I just updated the links in the description box. I just personally tried the Annual Credit Report & got them for free. You can only get free ones once a year though. peace, kimmay.

  • @kimmaytube Thank you for the new link...I went and I got my 1st credit report ever! Thankfully it looks pretty good so now I am even more motivated to keep it that way!

Thank you again for the time and dedication you put into your videos. It is greatly appreciated!

  • Great vid!!! 10 stars. You are soooo right. After paying down $32k in student loans and $3k in credit cards my credit score went up almost 200 points.

  • Thank you, summerorchid1!

It's amazing isn't it? I want to advise people who are sour about student loans. I never hear people talk about ANY other loan so negatively as people talk about student loans! Most people will buy many cars in their lifetimes, pay rent or a mortgage at multiple residencies, but student loans only get the bad rep!

I'm grateful for my student loans. They helped me re-establish credit & helped me to invest in my future. Your education can never be taken away!

  • To loveartsoul:

I know exactly how that feels. I've had that happen on many occasions. I once thought someone had blocked me. LOL! But Youtube's comment section is very "sensitive" about what it'll allow. It has a spam-bot that apparently doesn't always work well. Never post web links. That is an automatic rejection. Too many exclamations & odd characters will do the trick too. Write your comments in WordPad/Notepad, then cut and paste. Works for me! peace, kimmay.

  • where i'm from credit scores dont really matter. many people dont own credit cards simply because we're so small. we buy everything in cash or hire purchase but the thing i love about these videos is that even though some of this doesnt apply to me there is also alot of useful information about saving and managin money that i can actually use! and even though credit scores and stuff dont really apply to me atleast i know about it now..just incase one day it does. so thank you! keep doin wat u do

  • Hi pixxietrix!

Now, you know had to be nosey and check. LOL!

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines? wow! I'm embarassed to say that prior to googling, I would've struggled to place it on a map!

It's awesome that you can still find something useful in this vid. peace, kimmay.

  • Secured credit card! Good point! Never thought about it. I'll have to google it.

  • Hi regisnyder!

Word of advice! Choose reputable bank. There are a lot of scam companies looking to rip off consumers. Going with a well-known, brick & mortar REAL touch it and feel it bank is the safest way to go. :-)

    Godd luck!

  • great video...so what kind of consultant are you? or will that be in a upcoming video.. are you still doing the painting?

  • Hi tundemass!

    Thanks!

lol. I'm not sure if I'll be going into detail about MY work. Just talk about consulting in general . Most of my subs already know/ have seen it/ or will see the video again when I upload it.

Nope, I don't paint any longer. I was never any good at it anyway. LOL. I'm glad I have the basic formal traning though. peace, kimmay.

  • I love it! keep going...you are a very smart a true role model

  • Thanks for the info about the secured cc. I'm an independent contractor and I was about to set up an LLC, but my credit is not so good but I think i'll try to go to a Fed credit union and apply for one of those sec cc's as a small business owner and see where it gets me. Thanks! Great advice!

  • Hi MissNaturalMystery!

Your credit should not hinder your ability to set up an LLC. However, a business credit card/ loans might be a different matter. But I can't say 100% certainty. I assume this to be true because otherwise people would've abused this system by now anyway. LOL.

Usually credit unions offer the best rates. I only wish I had learned about secured cards earlier. It really helped to get me back on track & rebuild my credit history faster.

  • I loved when you talked about taking public transportation to work while having 60K sitting in your bank account. That is so inspiring. I am a 23 year old nursing student and I have (had) all these ideas of what im gonna do (burn my paychecks) when i graduate. After watching your videos, I am definitely reconsidering. Thanks for sharing your amazing stories and keep inspiring.

  • stina91386,

Consider this-- why is it that everybody is on the same plan, doing the same things & getting further into debt all together? Because we are taught to think in the same box. I didn't mention it in this vid, but *exposure* to other people & their saving habits influenced me heavily. I keep saying this, because it's true, if you give yourself a headstart, by sacrificing for a while, you can use that advantage & leverage it. I like to buy nice things now! But I sacrificed 1st.

  • How many years of sacrifice are you talking about :) I'm debt free, but I can't keep money in my savings account to save my life. I've only been able to save real money using a tax-deferred retirement annuity.

I set fitness challenges, hair goals, I have a new career goal, and somehow, fall way short in setting and meeting financial goals :(

  • Hi summerorchid1,

How long an person chooses to sacrifice and cut back big, all depends on the person. Some people can do it for a month, others for years. It is all about your personal goals. It think it's easier in this economy though. Especially since everybody is cutting back. The stigma of being frugal gone.

But believe me, I still enjoy myself. I make small pruchases from time to time, I take care of what I have. "The Millionaire Next Door" is one of my favorites books on $.

  • Thanks, I'll check out that book. You've motivated me to try for a year - excellent resolution. I'll put myself on a decent allowance next year.

  • Thank you so much! You are showing me that there is still hope lol!

  • keep hope alive, knuck23!

    Seriously, there is always hope.

    :0)

  • ?? lol. but I'm reading it now.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Hi Haitianbeauty36!

    You're welcome. ;0)

  • you are an inspiration! I thought i was crazy to want to purchase a vehicle in cash- i dont believe in car payments - too much!

Thank you for doing this series! it's really helping me!

  • Hi yoruba21!

    You're welcome! :0)

Nope. It's not crazy if you plan to keep it for a while. Financing a car costs you more money over time (perhaps thousands). In fact, since interests rates on savings are low & will be low for as long as the economy is bad, you'll ultimately save $ buying it outright. Also, you can sell it easier with no strings attached.

I've been living the past 5 years without a car payment. I'm so used to it, I don't think I can ever go back to the old way!

  • love it! see u next time professor with notebook in hand.

  • lol, thanks StarSpell5!

  • Another informative video. Lady, you are on it! I like that.

  • Thank you, sassygalady!

    I try, lol.

    :0)

  • Thank you for creating this series. It is very helpful. I turned 22 on friday, I work and go to school. I need this information

  • Hi stufftoon06!

    You're very welcome. :0)

Take advantage of the lessons in this video! There is no need for anyone to repeat these mistakes. Keep up the good work and keep doing your thing. peace, kimmay

  • i love these vids kimmay!, theyre more mind-stimulating than hair vids (not that I ever get tired of them) next time youre in London let me know, it would be a dreamm to meet you! Looking forward to prt II

  • Thank you, zainabadam!

Yeah, we can only talk about hair so much. lol. There is more to Life! :0)

  • Kimmay you Inspire me. I'm 19 a college student majoring in Nursing(RN) and just trying to get my life together. I must admit I am not a good saver, which is a habit I am trying to break. Your story is one that I want to live by(minus the debt lol). I want to be succesful, well traveled and live a comfortable life. YOU ARE REALLY AN INSPIRATION- Thankyou from a struggling College Student @_@

  • Hi 07cw23569!

aw, Look at all these young folks coming out of the woodworks! LOL. I knew you all were out there. lol. It pleases me to hear that you will learn from my old financial mistakes. I wish someone would have warned me and broken it DOWN like this.

Best wishes and continued success to you. College is a temporary struggle, a sacrifice and an investment. I talk about this in the next 2 videos.

You have your whole life to buy & enjoy things LATER. Enjoy College! :-)

  • hey Kimmay be careful, make sure that you use disclaimers in your sidebar for the companies you mentioned...:( thats why I havent done videos in a while. I think its a bunch of BS to get a HUGE fine byt the FTC

  • Hi elleisthebusiness,

Thanks for the concern, but I'm not concerned at all. I'm very familiar with the FTC regulations--offering these links are of no consequence because it is fyi--public information. I have no business ties with any of them.

  • p.s. before buying into the hype, I highly suggest checking into yourself. The FTC has been VERY clear about what they're cracking down on.

I don't like the way people have been spreading rumors instead of the facts. :-(

  • I actually watched the FTC video on youtube so I am aware. I was just trying to warn you my bad for trying to help :)

  • I wasnt referring to the links but the companies you mentioned but ok...no prob because you are aware :)

  • elleisthebusiness,

    It still doesn't matter. ;-)

  • Thanks so much for sharing with us:-)

  • Hi mona27lisa,

    you're welcome!

  • Thank you for these videos. I am a 21 years old spoiled child everything was handed to me from birth. My parents raised me to pursue my education & not work (they said it's a distraction), I never saved money! Now my parents have been assign to work in another country (they're hanging me out to dry). I have 4 months to become a responsible adult. There's so much to learn it's overwhelming but washing your videos calm me down so thank you kimmaytube and i cant wait until the next episode :)!

  • hey there Gabbihealth!

    You're welcome! :0)

oh, my next 2 videos are just for you! LOL.

At least you realize where you are in life and what you need to do. Most people haven't even gotten to that point yet. peace, kimmay.

  • You got me THINKING over here, seriously! I got to get my house in order! You're teaching me a lot and I'm s'pose to be grown, ha!

  • Hi JLady590!

Thakns for letting me know. When we put ourselves out there, we hope positivity and inspiration will result. I enjoyed doing this --and reviewing the past decade of my life (for me as well) :0)

  • Thanks for sharing and being REAL. Blessings

  • You're welcome, asimmsca!!

    :0)

  • omg i love this!!! thanks so much is very inspiring

  • you're welcome, edamsel! :0)

  • Kimmay, you are AWESOME!!! This is what every single person needs to see and hear. You are truly a gift to us.

  • Thank you, saradekali!

That is sweet of you to say. :0)

  • you are an inspirations to those of us who've lost focus of our dreams and let life's hard bumps stop us or slow us down. thank you!

  • Hi lafleurquirire!

That is exactly what I want people to get out of this. We can't take our lives for granted! Get everything you want out of life. peace, kimmay.

  • Lord Have Mercy thank you lil Ms Kimmay for sharing this story. I have been there done that! What we don't think about when we are young is how much our decisons about EVERYTHING affect us throughout our entire life. This goes for how we handle money, who we choose to hang out with, give our heart to,...etc. It even affects your self esteem. When you finish this series I need 1 on traveling alone. I want to do this but don't know what to do.

  • Hi mpenny226!

    Thank you.

Yup, I agree. EVERYthing affects our progress. Including the people in our lives, loved ones, etc.

I plan to talk more about this in future vids though. So far, the audience I'm trying to reach, the yougins' lol. seem to be taking well to this. I wish I had a crystal ball-window-into-life story like this back when I was in my 20's. You live and learn!

I'm sure I'll make vids about my solo travels in the future. peace, kimmay.

  • I love this video..can't wait for part 4

  • Hi CurlyTrini87!

    Thanks! :-)

Part 4 will be up sometime this week. I haven't edited it yet. Gotta take a break. However, I have 2 more "interlude" videos about professional/career advice, ready for upload.

  • You are so discipline to continue to ride the bus while having $60 grand in the bank!!! Don't know if I would have been!!!

I love your videos and you are some type of artist!!! What talent. I dabble with watercolor painting every now and then. It helps me relax and I love creating things and the creating process. Take care and keep up the good work. Looking forward to part 4!!!

  • Hi meteachu01!

yeah, I lived a very simple, plain life back then. I didn't even own a television for 7 years. I just drowned myself in comic books and books about wealth. (I didn't mention this cause I've exposed enough of my nerdiness already LOL)

Even today, I seriously doubt anyone makes any of these assumptions about me - that I'm self-employed, traveled, knowledgable about arts etc. So it's easy to blend in and act like I have nothing. lol.

  • You are such an amazing diva...I only wish I was 23 again so I could follow your advice because lawd knows I made the same mistakes you made in my twenties- probably more...that is the beauty of your 30's...we live & learn. Thanks for all you do girl. Take care,

    PD

  • Hey PhillyDiva!

lol. I wish I could build a time travel machine! lol.

But I can only look at the bright side and think about how good it was that I messed it up in my early 20's as opposed to my 30's. It gave me time to grow up and learn better habits for the rest of my adult life.

  • That is so true...you will make an excellent mommy...good luck sis and stay beautiful (inside & outside).

    PD

  • *Starring at the screen trying to figure out a way to get out of my debt*

  • RLC8093 ,

You can totally do it. As long as you're living you have the ability to work, save, etc. Don't become overwhelmed. Take it one month at a time. I posted this so that people would be inspired not to give in or give up! Far too many do and they remain in this vicious cycle for life. Hang in there. peace, kimmay.

  • Kimmay this was a great series. Very informative. Women are just better with financial awareness than men. You dont even want to hear my 23 year old financial stories. Lol.

  • Haterazzi!

    Thank you! :-)

I just saw your recent video. I got a checklist right here and one line reads-- "email Haterazzi about support for his new channel/ podcast". I'm always behind! LOL. I'm very excited for you.

  • You took the time to fix your credit which isn't easy. Not everyone has the discipline or patience to do it. I am divorced and remarried and it took three years to get from under my debt. But I did and I thank God for it. Thanks for these videos.

  • Hi newme73!

I didn't have a choice. If I wanted to move on I had to have patience. If I wanted to eat, I had to have discipline. Especially when first starting out as a consultant. The first year can be tough adjusting! :-)
