I was @ the trollsen page.I saw the vid.The raccoon wasnt even dead,and they skinned it. imagine a bunch of weird beings(different species)invade ur homes,and skin you and your family alive(that would hurt A LOT)true,animals get hit by cars,but these accidents can be reduced by putting fences around roads.if they have to make furs,at least find some quick & painless way to kill them 1st.

I can't decide how I feel about PETA. Fur for fur's sake is ridiculous and cruel, yes we should probably be vegetarians as it is better for the planet. My big disagreement with PETA is medical research. We don't understand enough about so many diseases, not to mention our almost rudimentary understanding of the brain. Research is crucial to understanding and combating something like Alzheimers, which anyone who has dealt with it will tell you, is a heartbreaking disease to witness.
Except that, under current conditions, we're not going to learn anything scientifically valuable from animal testing because research labs get their animals in one of two ways: Class A dealers (puppy mills) or Class B dealers (swiped from pounds and pet stores). Either way, the testing population is contaminated before the tests even begin, making the variables uncontrollable.
Besides, stem cells would be more effective, and better for the environment.

Fur typically does not come from domesticated animals. Fur farms? No... There might be a couple. I like meat too but don't think they should kill wild animals, skin them for the fur and then dump the carcass. That's what happens most of the time in the fur world.
Now leather for jackets from all those slaughtered cows, or footballs from all those pigs... Don't throw away the skin! Who doesn't like leather and football?
i think the respect for animals that you mention is what peta is attempting to attain. theres a difference between my neighbor who has two hens and a rooster and eats the eggs laid and a food production conglomerate who has quotas and deadlines to meet by any means neccessary.

Fur typically does not come from domesticated animals. Fur farms? No... There might be a couple. I like meat too but don't think they should kill wild animals, skin them for the fur and then dump the carcass. That's what happens most of the time in the fur world.
Now leather for jackets from all those slaughtered cows, or footballs from all those pigs... Don't throw away the skin! Who doesn't like leather and football?

i think the respect for animals that you mention is what peta is attempting to attain. theres a difference between my neighbor who has two hens and a rooster and eats the eggs laid and a food production conglomerate who has quotas and deadlines to meet by any means neccessary.
