@Roubenvanhouton its not meant to be a profesional video .. İts based on home style! Does it realy matter the fuck how u mash the fuckin potatoes!! Chill out and leave Granny alone before they drive by you in their wheel chairs!
Not professional. Use wood to stir in a pan. Do not use steel. Do not use a mixer to make your mash. That way you make your mash sticky because of the way the starch in the potatoes behaves. Use a potato press and taste the difference!
Thanks for sharing this.. This has got me really inspired!! .. I had some left over fillings for some Tamales that I made and thought I'd do a cottage pie (as it isn't Sheppards pie if it doesn't have lamb meat in it) And was wanting to get the potato part of it right.. Thanks for showing me..
I saw someone else on youtube who did a video with regular potatoes and then he posted an update that said he later tried it with sweet potatoes and it was really good. So give it a try... if u have not already done so.
That looks fantastic. I have always loved shepherd's pie, but i have never made it before. I don't know why it looks so easy. i am going to make this dish soon. I am going to put mushrooms, carrots, corn, and you might think i am crazy for this one but i will also add spinach.
I just put my shepard's pie in the oven. I added corn and celery but didn't think to put in spinach. I had some moose sausage that I fried up so I'm sure it will be delicious.

Looks very tasty! Could I substitute sweet potato for white potatoes?

You can add a variety of different vegetables in the pie, but it's traditionally made with mashed potatoes on top.
