The GTA IV trick only works as long as you don't turn off your console. If you do, and you have like 6 cars in a parking spot, only 2 random vehicles will remain next time you start up the game.

the musshroom gorge shortcut saves about 1/2 a sedc which is usefull

good tips on Mario Kart, I might try that shortcut on maple treeway, but I can't imagine the shortcut on mushroom gorge saving much time, especially on a wifi race.
