Better sales does not equal to the game being better then others. Halo: ODST and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold better then, Uncharted 2 yet the latter got tons of awards and more perfect scores then the others. It also received GOTY for 2009.

Ultimately great games are based off personal taste. If you determine what a great game is based off sales then I pity you for missing out on such great games out there.
