I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis, and when I was pregnant my doctor told me not to worry about it too much because the man who fertilized my egg was Korean, and Asian people are at low risk to be carriers of cystic fibrosis. The father of my son and I were not married, however I believe Interracial marriage is a beautiful thing, having children of that marriage is even more beautiful, and having a baby at all between any people is a risk to the child's health!

Fish that a Horse and a Donkey can mate and produce a Mule, which is sterile and cannot produce offspring. Why? Because they are a different species. The few Blacks that do fairly well, are ones who encountered almost miraculous circumstances or ones who have abilites that a few human beings of any race have, and still had some means to pave the way. I can see how fact 2 could be true but you fail to understand why. The whites have had an educational advantage for centuries. If you have read about American history, then you would know that the blacks were slaves for sometime. And you would also know that they were not allowed to be educated or educate themselves. Even after they were freed, they were still discriminated against and not allowed to do the things the whites could do, such as get an education.
Although some were able to attend college before the late 1900s or educate themselves greatly, the majority were not able to. It is not true that there is any greater risk for mixed children to be more prone to abnormalities than anyone else. As a Scientist let me tell you the opposite is actually true. You see each successive generation has less genetic variability within each individual. Therefore as time goes by it is necessary to have children with more distant relatives. Some generations ago (I don't remember how many) You could marry your third cousin with no genetic treat to your children. As we know that is not true today.
There is an illness that is believed to affect biracial children; sickle cell anemia. Yes, biracial children are more prone to this than say, white children, but thats because mostly african americans, but also hispanics, indians and middle easterns are prone to this disease, due to a gene mutation that affects the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. But every group of people are prone to different illnesses, not really depending on race, but depending on origin.
So, the fact is; When someone carries a gene mutation (like tasacks or sickle cell), it's harmless, but when 2 people who have the same gene mutation reproduce, the child will be born with the disease. But, if you have a child with someone of different origin or race, the chances of you BOTH carrying the same gene mutation are unlikely. Therefore, interracial children are actually BETTER OFF, and theoretically, interracial reproduction will eventually do away with genetic disease!

Actually we subconsciously try to find people with different hormones and dna.Thats why some people can be sweaty and we still love their smell. When the genes are to similar the hormones smell bad,natural avoidance of cross breeding. This makes the offspring resistant to all the illness or pathogens introduced to both sides of the family history. So this person was completely wrong, it would actually make the child STRONGER. Yes. it's really the opposite. The further apart your genes, the better the child's immune system. This is why incest is looked down upon, because while the diseases are mutating and mutating the genes of the humans stay relatively the same.
There is an interesting theory on why there is bigotry, though. it has to do with who you're introduced to at a young age. I think systemic racism also plays a part I've read the studies but i can't seem to find them.

actually they tend to be healthier then average, Because when a mix is made the body takes the strongest genes from both and mixes them. this is why usually when someone is mixed with black and white their skin is usually brown or black because it protects from the environment better and there hair is usually kinky because it helps to release heat from the body. now this could vary if they are born in a cold environment in which case this will prob be opposite.

Healthy same "raced" couples have sick offspring all the time! It's absurd- all people come from mixed heritage in some way, and race as America defines it is arbitrary. Humans are adaptive beings and we take on physical attributes based on our environments, hence people in Africa where the sun is always shining have deeper skin pigmentation- could go more into that subject, but won't. We are all of the same species, it's just like cats and dogs.. different breeds, not "races" or species.

If you have read about American history, then you would know that the blacks were slaves for sometime. And you would also know that they were not allowed to be educated or educate themselves. From what I remember, an IQ test doesnt mean shit anymore. If you really think about it, it never actually did. You cant base someones intelligence just from some standardized test. Do some research before you even type. Environment plays a big enough role to have an effect. You can't say a white child living in the slums will be a Harvard graduate in the future. It's possible but your just ranting on about some nonsense in order to say that whites are superior to blacks. That's how this racism started, the whites were suppressing the black slaves in order to get them to do their bidding. And now you have the same mentality as your ancestors.

I do my research, and my sources are from school not the internet. Environment plays a role in educating you, and not in raising your intelligence. Check the MIlwaukee aftermath, the real one. Not all whites are Harvard bound. In fact, the majority aren't. But if a naturally smart person, black or white, with a high IQ lives in the slums he would still have a good shot based on SAT scores. I am not ranting, I mean what possible motive could I have behind this?

Doesn't getting educated raise your intelligence? That's how I always understood it. If anyone wants to go to Harvard, if they put their mind to it, they can. You may not be born equal with the same intelligence as others but that doesn't mean you cannot get to their level. That is what I'm trying to explain. And your motive? I don't know, but the way you said it was illegal for a reason made me think you were a racist. You cannot justify anything that is meant to put others down.

Here, I'll give you some names, Benjamin Banneker, Fredrick Douglass and W. E. B. Du Bois. So now that you have some names, after you look them up reread what I typed before.

I never claimed ALL blacks are dumb, that is absurd. I said ON AVERAGE a black person is more likely to have a lower IQ. There are plenty of DUMB whites too. I am not judging, I am using scientific results (see Bell Curve by Murray). Why do people blame racism on hate, its very poor reasoning. Do you think there were interracial laws in place because people all hated? Or is it more likely because they observed behaviour?

I'm not blaming racism on hate. In my opinion on how racism started in America, it began with the Europeans religion and ambition for greed and power. Since the natives and blacks were not modern to the whites and did not believe in the same religion, they were considered inferior. I can believe your scientific results but that doesn't justify for all. What I'm trying to say is no matter how smart or dumb the other race is, does it give you a right to rule over them or suppress them? No!

I just want to make this clear, I can believe scientific evidence in Bell Curve by Murray. But it's the way people interpret it is what makes me mad. You have white supremacists using it as means to put down other races (mainly the blacks) to show that they are the superior race in all forms. In reality all it means is that you have a natural advantage, a head start in intelligence only. Any other race can get there or even surpass it. So in a way, we are all equal.

Although this may be true, it is not necessarily because of their genetic code. As Legacy241 suggests, environment plays a huge part in mental development. All you need to do is open a Sociology textbook to realise that. For example, on average Black people are in lower socio-economic groups (due to long subjugation), and there is also correlation between "lower" social classes and academic achievement. There may therefore be a multitude of factors at work, none of which may turn out to be race.

The US has NOT and NEVER will be the defining factor in regards to anything educationally. I have volunteered in other countries where kids out perform students from the US and the only thing that has kept them back is poverty and lack of resources. Institutionalized racism is alive and well in the US and it's people with your pathetic views that makes its harder.Good Day

It is not true that there is any greater risk for mixed children to be more prone to abnormalities than anyone else. People that push this nonsense are just ignorant and uninformed or just plain stupid. It is ignorance that keeps racism alive. Many of the people (not all) that claim to be racist don't even know how to argue their racist beliefs intelligently. Many are just trying to fit in with their peer groups and family traditions.

That is actually the most ridiculous thing I've heard about interracial reproduction. Genes don't know what race is. They only tell you what skin tone, eye color, etc. a kid will have. For example two whites, one with a gene for schizophrenia could have a kid that's prone to this disease. Two Asians, one with a history of diabetes, could pass on this disease to their child. I come from a medical family so I know a bit. Just posting this for the idiots that believe this weird theory.

As a Scientist let me tell you the opposite is actually true. You see each successive generation has less genetic variability within each individual. Therefore as time goes by it is necessary to have children with more distant relatives. Some generations ago (I don't remember how many) You could marry your third cousin with no genetic treat to your children. As we know that is not true today.

There is an illness that is believed to affect biracial children; sickle cell anemia. Yes, biracial children are more prone to this than say, white children, but thats because mostly african americans, but also hispanics, indians and middle easterns are prone to this disease, due to a gene mutation that affects the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. But every group of people are prone to different illnesses, not really depending on race, but depending on origin.

So, the fact is; When someone carries a gene mutation (like tasacks or sickle cell), it's harmless, but when 2 people who have the same gene mutation reproduce, the child will be born with the disease. But, if you have a child with someone of different origin or race, the chances of you BOTH carrying the same gene mutation are unlikely. Therefore, interracial children are actually BETTER OFF, and theoretically, interracial reproduction will eventually do away with genetic disease!

God did not want believers marrying none believers, such as pagans and idol worshippers, but god had no problem with interracial marriage. Some examples; Moses and his wife Zipporah. God punished Aaron and Miriam for criticizing Moses's interracial marriage. Theres also King David and the Queen of Sheeba, and the story of Rahab and Ruth, to name a few.
