When I went to work on the HARRY ALLEN POWER PROJECT just north of Las Vegas. There were Many Hispanic workers there. 3 of these guys had been there for almost a year. These three were "laid off" not fired. because they were Illegal immigrants. It took almost a year for them to be caught. They were taking the jobs of 3 legal workers. They should have been deported. 1st - There is NOT a legal requirement for a citizen to have ID at all. Banks, for example, have policies that require an ID to ensure they are not a victim of fraud, but it is NOT a law.
My job only needed my ID to make sure my driving record was clean, but that was NOT law, rather a requirement by the insurance company. A SS card is NOT an ID, in fact it is a FEDERAL OFFENSE to treat it as such. Alcohol sales,am use ID to avoid prosecution if they sell to minors, it is NOT the law that you have one to buy alcohol.

NOT TRUE! It is the law that a clerk cannot sell alcohol to a minor under 21. He asks for ID to avoid prosecution under that law, and certain ID's allow him a defense if they turn out to be minors with fake ID's.

Clerks that sell alcohol are required by the stores insurance company, not the law, to take a class on how to spot a fake state ID, a fake passport, and a fake military ID, and the stores policy, not the law, is to only accept the ID's their clerks are trained to spot as fakes, and to ID everyone even close to the drinking age. With this policy they hope to not get busted selling to minors or to have a defense if they do, and not lose their license.

I notices the highest immigrant work force is Nevada at 12.2%. I live in Texas and I would have better luck winning the lottery than finding a white person doing a construction job. I am from Nevada. Let me make this clear. I think that we really need to buckle down on this issue. I think the "E-varify" Should be perment. My dad right now is out of fucking work, he worked for IGT for 15 years before they laid him off, and now that we got all these imagrents flooding the state, ITS FUCKING IMPOSIBLE TO FIND A JOB. When I went to work on the HARRY ALLEN POWER PROJECT just north of Las Vegas. There were Many Hispanic workers there. 3 of these guys had been there for almost a year. These three were "laid off" not fired. because they were Illegal immigrants. It took almost a year for them to be caught. They were taking the jobs of 3 legal workers. They should have been deported. Instead, they were given a lay off slip, and sent back to draw unemployment. How does this shit happen??

1st - There is NOT a legal requirement for a citizen to have ID at all. Banks, for example, have policies that require an ID to ensure they are not a victim of fraud, but it is NOT a law.

My job only needed my ID to make sure my driving record was clean, but that was NOT law, rather a requirement by the insurance company. A SS card is NOT an ID, in fact it is a FEDERAL OFFENSE to treat it as such. Alcohol sales,am use ID to avoid prosecution if they sell to minors, it is NOT the law that you have one to buy alcohol.

NOT TRUE! It is the law that a clerk cannot sell alcohol to a minor under 21. He asks for ID to avoid prosecution under that law, and certain ID's allow him a defense if they turn out to be minors with fake ID's.

Clerks that sell alcohol are required by the stores insurance company, not the law, to take a class on how to spot a fake state ID, a fake passport, and a fake military ID, and the stores policy, not the law, is to only accept the ID's their clerks are trained to spot as fakes, and to ID everyone even close to the drinking age. With this policy they hope to not get busted selling to minors or to have a defense if they do, and not lose their license.

We make up the government, we give the government the power and authority to do certain things for us. They cannot require us to do things for it.
When they start to try and make us do things, versus not allowing us to do things, if just 1% of those 300 MILLION people refuse to do it, a potential of 3 MILLION criminal cases to flood the court systems and then you get selective prosecution and legal abuses.

I notices the highest immigrant work force is Nevada at 12.2%. If my construction company raised that to at least 50%, I would be able to underbid all the other construction companies in California, Arizona, New Jersey, and Florida and obtain a monopoly of construction contracts and share and split the revenue profits 50% with all my construction workers and become one of the most economically powerful construction companies in the entire country.

@gsv67 The reason he's stayed in office as long as he has is because he has a lot of support in the south, which is where most of the population is.
The rest of the state, for the most part, has always hated his guts.
Fortunately, it looks like we're finally going to dump him this year. Obama pissed off a lot of Nevadans with a comment he made on gambling, and because of Reid's association with the man, his support in the south is waning.

Comprehensive immigration reform, means...address the ROOT of the problem.
Illegal immigrants aren't the problem, they are a SYMPTOM of the problem.

The immigration system is not fair to the POOR... so fix THAT...and you won't have people jumping your border fence, or taking their newborn children through the deserts to escape the poverty of Mexico.

@xuserx2000 Immigration is not "fair" in almost every country. Most countries allow people with special skills that are of need to the host country. MY brothers wife is a polish national....her family wasn't rich...her dad moved here..worked and then brought the rest of them here...legally. Now I agree we can speed up the process but it is insane to think we can allow anyone and everyone who is poor into our country when we are struggling already. You missed the ROOT of the problem.

@xuserx2000 The ROOT of the problem is that in the case of Mexico..you have a large nation with TWO coasts, enourmous natural resources, a perfect climate for many types of agriculture and a huge workforce. However you have a government that is so rife with corruption that they make ours look clean. (Thats quite a feat) So tell me...isn't that a problem that Mexicans should be required to fix and not US citizens? Additionally, refer to THEIR immigration policy and while you are at it..visit

For them to critisize US efforts to close OUR border when their Southern border looks like an Israeli check point with and enourmous military presence..(Soldiers, military vehicles, heavy and light machine guns...is a wee bit hypocritical. I love Mexico (hell I love latin america) but they need to play economic hardball, and perhaps a revolution is required to revamp their gov. THERE IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM.

All it would do is create more poverty, homelessnes, crime, hunger, disease......in addition to raising the cost of construction to unaffordable means for the average family. A lot of people rail against illegals, AFTER the economy went south. But where were all the complaints when everyone was buying 3br 2ba homes for under 100K ? America enjoyed cheap labor for decades, and now all the sudden everyone want to turn their backs on the people who helped build America for less than minimum wage.

I remember when I was a kid, some many years ago. I saw white people doing construction jobs. I live in Texas and I would have better luck winning the lottery than finding a white person doing a construction job. Not because they can't or don't want to, but because construction companies won't hire them. It is cheaper, but you get what you pay for!

All the elders in my family on my fathers side had to struggle their whole life in Mexico, and if you or anyone else who thinks immigrants are "unproductive" or just troublesome individuals looking for a hand-out then you should try living in a piss-poor country in a rundown house that can't even protect you from rain or coyotes!

We came here LEGALLY and FOLLOWED THE LAW. That is my point. Our Republic can not endure without the rule of law. Having personally inspected over 3,000 buildings in so Calif, I can tell you the drywall industry in so. Calif was decimated by crappy work by illegals. If there's a problem with skill, it's with the illegals because they build what they know--third-world quality. And, their buildings fall down (all over the world) because they don't have USA standards. It's also a cultural issue.

If he does do a speech in the barrio, will he say, Mexico wouldn't let migrants of any race in if they don't have credentials, so migrants of any race should not be in USA if they don't have credentials.except migrant ants, they don't need papers to cross the border!
