He wouldn't HAVE mange if you people would put him on a proper high quality, high protein diet. I'm sure you're feeding him some toxic crap like Science DIEforIt, Pu rina or Eukanuba. He needs a human grade meat based diet and LOTS of Omega fatty acids in order to bring his immune system up to par which will ELIMINATE any parasites in his system and on his body. I know.. I'm a holistic pet nutritionist and I rehabilitate dogs w/parasite, skin, coat and emaciation & immune system problems.

Some pitbulls are dangerous either because they are overbred (lots of people want the blue ones, so the breeders take no care in how the dogs' temperament is just to get blue pits) or because they are neglected. For every story of a pitbull attack, there are lots of stories about how they are great dogs. You hear more about pitbull attacks simply because of the sheer number of pitbulls that exist and because a lot of wrong people want them for the wrong reasons.

It is not a matter of how the dog is born, it is how the dog is treated as it grows and experiences life with humans. I know that there has been a lot of negative media attention surrounding Pit Bulls, but the amount of real facts compared to hype and fear-mongering is sadly very little.

Glad to see him looking so good and so happy. I had luck with Colloidal Silver spray when one of my pugs had demodectic mange around her eyes. We had tried the ivermectin injections but it didn't work.
Patrick is looking so good these days. I hope you get to keep Patrick until he is ready to find his furever home. He belongs with all of you who have cared for him and have showed him love. We support you.

WOW! What a happy boy, and what a transformation. Truthfully, I was never able to bring myself to watch the first video of him entering the hospital, barely holding on to life. I'd rather see him bounding around ready to leave the hospital with his new family. But in the meantime, he's enjoying a dog's life in a very good place. Thanks GSVS.

Amazing the change in that little boy! I know you all are proud of all you've accomplished. FYI, when my current foster had demodex, brewers yeast tablets helped her tremendously! We had it kicked im a month, and her hair back in about two.

What a smart fellow! The mange will disappear eventually now that he has been getting good nutrition. It took my rescue almost 6 months before he had a clean skin scraping. Thank you for doing what you do and doing it so well.
He looks soooooo wonderful and sooooo happy!!!! It does look like he's losing more hair around his left eye.....so is the mange still a problem?? He looks so GOOD though. THANK YOU GSVS!!!!
