@QuietVuvuzela Go and look at the figures for yourself rather than taking someone's word for it. 97% of publishing, peer reviewed climatologists in the US agree with the tenets of AGW. The predictions of the IPCC from the late 1990s regarding the rate of global warming in the years since have been correct. Arctic ice is melting. We are consistently having hottest years on record. Go and Google it for yourself. Even if it's all wrong, shouldn't we move to renewables anyway?

We should move to renewables because (besides environmental benefit) they will create jobs/ economic profit.
We DON'T actually have "plenty" of coal, oil and gas. Finite resources run out. You don't have to believe in man-made climate change to understand the logic of sustainability.
