Thanks for commenting. I guess you would say the story is not technically an allegory, where each aspect respresents something else, but a parable, with one point. The point in "Why" is that Jesus died to save us and the appropriate response is to obey Him when He asks. Hope that helps! Have a blessed day, and again...thanks!
