Sparky, this video is very old... i don't remember what kind of strings i've using at those time, but i think it probably be DADDARIO STRINGS... but like i said before... this is a VERY OLD VIDEO... now i'm using Ernie Ball...
I'm going to make this video again with more recording quality and better image.
The Seymour Duncan's (JB - Jazz in this case) makes the difference compared with the original guitar pickups (Duncan/Ibanez). The SD brings a sound more clear, with much body, cristaline, pure.
Hey could you tell me what strings your using? And which pick up you changed from STD. Was is the bridge fir another seamor D. I have one of these guitars too, thanks
Excellent! I love the way you played it on a guitar without a tremolo! I have the same instrument (in Dark Amber Sunburst - DAS), I play a lot of Satriani stuff, and I find it super challenging to rearrange his songs for the fixed bridge axe. You made it without losing ''Satchy feel''!!!
It makes a big difference especially if your guitar wears the factory pickups.Jb is a rocking pickup.Rock hard rock heavier stuff you cant go wrong with this one.Its like tone zone in the bridge airnorton in the neck...another famous combo from dimarzio this time.A lot of people use them cause they cover a lot of ground and they sound just right.
lilskaters: the model of my guitar is SZ 520FM TKS.
jbj92300: in this video i used the NU METAL (manual) with the CHORUS / DELAY effect (3pm o'clock setting in the Vox Valvetronix AD30VT. Its a very old video, so in these time i was using a diferent type of recording (very poor sound quality).
sovietchimp: i recomend to try the Fender FM210, i think is better than MG100 for the same price.
I'm getting this ibanez and please tell me the model. It was clear blue but it looked purple and there was 5 pick up on it but only one was seperated from the other groups. in other words 2 in the front one in the middle then 2 in the back. And he mentioned floyd rose or something like that.
Not all is how fast can you play.....how can you play better the hardest part of the song than the easier one´s? that means that need to improve you feeling, tempo, and do you use your pick.......you already did the hard part.........
I love the way you let rip towards the end and do your own stuff. Awesome riff around 4:02 - it would be great if you could give a breakdown of it - let us lesser guitarists learn a bit from the master!
the seymour duncan JB is a really good pick up, with the right choise of gain, treble and bass obviously it depends on what amp do you use it. But its an excellent choise especially for mahogany guitars.
So,is vox ad30vt definitely a good amp? better than a roland x30 cube in a matter of sound quality? this vid (nice ,really) shows the vox metal potental...
awesome

I can't believe this video has just few views and at some of the comment. "Nice improv"?
He played almost note by note Joe Satriani, "Summer Long", what the heck?
He did a very good job indeed. A couple mistakes but overall a very good job indeed.
