@weezy5611 yes dodge does have some flaws but they are a reliable vehicle I worked in the oil patch and we used chevs fords and dodge and the dodge and fords were the best also the dodge outperformed the ford so after I got out of the patch I bought a Durango same one as in this video I still own it and have had no problems what so ever with it all I have had to do is minor tune ups not a big deal very reliable vehicles

With a maintainance history, I went for the third timing chain and water pump as well as valve seals and a gasket set. New wiring, plugs and relays and bingo - running good as new. Just recently chnaged the fuel pump. Normal Maintainence. I looked for the history of mije before purchase. Owner was young female out of UTA who traded it in for a 06 charger, well maintained and Very Clean - trade in. She traded that Charger in for a 10' Challenger. Charger was more then I was willing to pay!

I bought mine 125k. All Original, 5.9. Gave it a NGK/K$N/Full Syntec tune-up and played some with the chip and got around 24 mpg on the hwy. dropped that to around 21 when I added 265 70 17. Made one mistake, at 150, I took it to the mechanic and made a fluid change - idiot made a mistake and 'forgot' to tell me it was 1 quart low on the tranny - an expensive error on his part. My mistake for not double chekcing - quite a headache to get him to admit it. Since then, no issues.

We have had a 2003 exploder since 05, and we have had to replace the starter motor, both front wheel bearings, rebuild the transmission, and rebuild the transfer case. Just this week, the transmission started acting up again. It's a 4.6 v8 4x4, and a piece of shit. Never again will we buy a ford. Dodge is next

yeah i just took a tape measure to my tires and they're about 29-30 inches in diameter, idk if that helps. But i know i'm gonna get a new exhaust maybe take out the resonator and install a glasspack or somethin get it a beastly sound

strange... I also won a 2000 Durango SLT V8 and my god damn turn signal behave the same way as the vehicle in this video. Normal Flickering Speed for the RIGHT signal and twice as fast for the LEFT signal. The LEFT signal doubled it's speed about 2 years ago... ???

@delcabrone mine did the same thing and I checked the connections of the front and rear lights, I think the bass from my speakers rattled the connection loose. I plugged them together again and it went back to normal.

hate to say i told you so, but i had a dodge durango... fell head over heels for that damn truck the only con about it was the gas mileage was poor... but little did i know... then i did some research.. turns out most dodges are fuckin lemons... they have factory problems out the wazoo. but i ignored the warning... a week after i bought the damn thing the torque converter goes out.. whole trans shot. car is worthless.. in my state we have a lemon law.. thank god. i got my refund

@kittybath oh trust me, im not knocking the whole dodge corporation... im just saying, the 2000 dodge durango slt had a lot of design flaws in the power train, its an SUV that has to be pampered. the oil ports are too small to feed the oil from the bottom end to the valve train and thee electronics use poorly waterproofed connectors causing electrical shorts all through the wire harness over long periods of time, plenty of reasons to avoid it. the newer dodges are A lot BETTER.

@thizz0707 this was a 2000 dodge durango... six years of improvement and alot of those issues i was going on about are being re-worked. dodge got the complaints from the earlier lines of durangos and made much improvement, especially the drivetrain. i was speaking on this particular vehicle, not all dodge durango years are sucky, i like dodge's 1500 line crew cab sport pick-up with that beastly 5.9L hemi, thats what attracted me to the durango i had, and yes my gas mileage sucked donkey nuts lol
