  • This movie is my childhood :)

  • I use to watch this one when I was longer ^^

  • @GwEn075 that means u r shorter now? XD

  • @AnonymousWorld911 I meant to put younger.. my bad

  • I watched the unsolved mystery of anastasia and the romanovs on youtube. Basically they all said that anastasia and or tatiana survived the execution. They say that tatiana survived but anastasia's body was not found yet.

  • @Bubbletea7733 after the killing of the imperial family, two bodies were not found. because all the bodies were too mutilated to be recognized. it was believed to be Anastasia and her younger brother but because of the similarity some stories say its her sister. some stories had suggested that they had escaped somewhere. it wasn't until recently did they find two bodies that were proven to be directly related to the family through DNA testing on the remains.

  • I used to watch this movie all the time when I was a kid

  • Where are Marie and Olga? >.<

  • 20 seconds in and its already unbelivably inaccurate. eh, still cute though. doo thing about kids movies, no matter how cheesy or inaccurate it is, still has the ability to be great haha:)

  • wow the tzar was turned into a tuba. way to go movie can't have traumatic retelling of history can we?

  • omg is it just me or does the narrator sound like brock from pokemon

  • she has a beautiful voice though.

  • Oh God, I know what Nostalgia Critic needs to review next.

  • ....epic. fail.

  • Why is Anastasia teenager, she died as a child. And why is her family instruments? And why are her other two sisters not in the movie, Maria and Tatiana?

  • @snowdrop93iris Anastasia had actually turned 17 one month before she was executed in 1918.

  • i've been looking for this film for years! used to be one of my favourites!

  • @banpaiaperson finally some1 with taste :) x

  • I use to dream bout this movie a lot

  • 07:46

...Cause pillows can totally keep them from bargeing in, mmhm.

  • Why isit that everyone I know has never heard of this !! I have it on video and everything, its the only version of Anastasia ive seen, I <3 it so much, thanks for uploading 'cause the vid i have of it broke xD :)

  • I don't think it matters if it's inaccurate or not, when I was a very young child I don't think the history was what I was paying attention to...

  • It's Tsarina, not Queen. They had FIVE children. Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and Alexei. Tatiana was not a pain in the arse, she was known as the Governess, she helped her mother throughout hard decisions and spoke for her adored siblings. I do not like this version at all.

  • @DarkEyedGirl97 well i do so stop dissing it

  • Czar Nicholas II nice? Uh yeah, tell that to the Jews who's villages were burned and run out of Russia

  • okay people stop comparing this movie to the20century fox one they are both untrue anastasia died with her family (was killed) SO

  • @HotStuffSoda It's true. Alexei and Maria/Anastasia were killed along with their family in the Ipatiev house. However, the 2 bodies were buried about 100 yards away from their family and servants.

  • @HotStuffSoda

technically there was some controversy about Anastasia's death. There was an older woman that claimed to be Anastasia and I never knew if her claims were refuted. No one knows what really happened, unless you learned during that time period. History is written by the winner of wars and much of the true stories in history are lost in the struggle.

  • @yaoilovertash

I know who you're talking about. She never consented to DNA testing while alive but after her death they ran the tests. It turned out she wasn't even Russian. That doesn't stop people from being captivated by her story and even making a movie about her specifically.

  • @yaoilovertash Anna Anderson claimed to be Anastasia. But DNA testing after her death in the 80s (I think 1984) proved that she wasn't. And Anastia (possibly Maria's, and in that case Anastasia's was in the original grave - the Little Pair were close enough in age it could have been either) and Alexei's bodies were found in 2007 on the side of the road near the other grave. So they were all executed with proof found.

  • wasnʻt there Olga also!!?? lol

  • @Maluhia11 Olga, Tatianna, Marie, Anastasia, and Alexei.

  • @NCIStivarules 3 sisters and 1 brother

  • I don't understand what is going on but it is cute anyway.

    Thanks for uploading this! <3

  • didn't she live in the imperial palace? just thought so, didn't think it was called a castle...

  • Very inaccurate

  • You are right this is really bad

  • I don't agree i was fed up with the other version

  • Honestly... I never liked the Bluth version either. I think Disney would have done it best (hate me if you want, it's just an opinion!). Though I do like Once Upon A December and In The Dark of the Night.

  • This is terrible! At least 20th Century Fox's Anastasia had a little bit of accuracy and was entertaining in my opinion. First of all, everything in this is dumbed down to an extreme. Second of all, they had five children (Olga, TATIANA- not Titania, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei who had hemophilia)- not three. And her family being turned into instruments? What the hell? That doesn't make any sense. I'm sorry. D:

  • @PinkWonderlandRoses I totally agree with you 100%! This is lame!

  • I think I like the other movie better

  • This kinda really pretty terribly boring.

  • Hey History, look! Talking instruments!

*History smacks back of my head*

  • Anastasia was NOT the youngest. She was the youngest girl.

  • no comment... -3-

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS <3 This is a very treasured part of my childhood! I watched this all the time <3

  • WTF

  • Um, didn't they have 5 children?

  • wow...this is bad

  • THEY CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE THE FUCKING NAMES RIGHT! wtf

  • @LittlezombieRocker Well DUH the way the Russians say Anastasia is ANNA-STOS-EE-A.

i agree if you also talking about Alexis but they (in the movie) call him Alexie

  • Wow, there is so much within the first two minutes that is wrong isn't not even funny! Okay, so it is funny that they got so much wrong, but still!

If you're going to have a historical video, shouldn't you try to have the facts correct?

  • @ngycgirlz its a kids film thts the point if uu have kids uu make them watch historical stuff but SOME of us grew up with this so stop dissing it

  • they pronouce everything wrong

  • why are her parents instruments?

  • @CristinaRocks858 like seriously how did they turn int instruments

  • Um there were more than just 3 children....

  • Hey!!! I just figured out that the instruments are like her family-- one instrument for each member of her family. How deep. :)

  • That name!!

    Goofin off . . .

    Wow, that's great.

  • Worst idea for a historical movie ever....

  • @ridingisasport ehh kids movie

  • Chill out with the scientific and historic facts, yo. This is not school. o.e

  • giant talking instruments??? i thought the talking bat was bad...

  • To find this I typed "Anastasia cartoon instrument family" I loved both films when I was a kid there different that's all.

  • Okay people it's just a kids film not meant to tech history or anything simply for entertaining kids imaginations <3 love this film

  • @ObeyyMonszter They're gonna have a terrible shock whent hey find out what REALLY happened....

  • OMG i loved this movie as a child and now being older and searching seriously for Grand Duchess Anastasia's real story i couldn't help myself from remembering this movie and looking forever for it! i'm so gland to find it! thank you so much for put the movie on!!

  • I like the way they say her name. Like Ana-StA-seeya instead of Anna-stay-jah lol if anyone gets that lol

  • The youngest was actually Anastasia's brother and he was not the daring type because he was a hemophiliac. This is a cute movie but I agree that the 20 century one is better.

  • Ugh... So glad the other Anastasia movie is so much more fantastic! Crummy crummy crummy

  • So, the instruments are actually her family... Wow. It mixes "Beauty and the Beast," A girl living all alone: "Sleeping Beauty"/"Rapunzel," and a very inaccurate account of this. Actually, the Fox "Anastasia" is a lot better. This is good, just not very good.

  • @mermaidspotter09 yes, it's much better :)

  • NEVER SAY NEVER!! <3 LOL

  • i never heard of this movie....

  • Sweet birdie... lol

  • this movie is stupid and inaccurate...yet i loved it when i was five.

  • They got alexei, Tatiana, and Anastasia but they forgot Olga and Maria

  • @voldemortsnipples12 I LOVE your username!!! That is too freakin' funny!!! XD

  • yeah . . . .alexei had hemophilia, so he probably coudn't stand on one hand

  • I LOVED this movie when I was like,5. Ah, soooo many memories ^_^

  • I can't take this movie serious at all

  • does anyone know where i can get the script for this please, thanks :)

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS. Oh the childhood memories! (: <3

  • Is it just me, or does the narrator sound strangely like Demitri?

  • i remember this movie!!!! i love this !! thanks! ^^

  • why do the interments look like the family

  • OH my GOD I've been looking for this for YEARS! I loved it when I was a kid, I still have the VHS but no VCR! XD THANK YOU!

  • That is ridiculous they dont have her other two sisters.

  • What is the song at 3:28? It's very beautiful :)

  • i thought she had 3 older sisters?

  • What is the name on the cover of this movie? Just Anastasia?

  • Ah... I remember watching this as a little

Kid... I STILL think the talking instuments are scary o_o

  • gets facts straight. Nicholas was not fat or had grey hair Alexandra was a brunette and they had 5 kids not 3.

  • @sexygirl1994ily1 people just want to entertain kids now a days with bullshit to confuse their poor minds. its like wtf why cant the kids know the truth about her?

  • Was going to give this movie a chance after watching the "real" Anastasia-movie. But the animation and well, the movie as a whole just can't live up to that, so I'll give it a pass for now ;)

  • What is sooo horrible about a revalution??!!

  • @catty2990 Are you serious? :/ Can't really tell over the internet. But a revOlution(see what i did there?) is horrible because several thousand people die, does that sum it up good for you?

  • Ah, thank you for uploading this. Also, does it really matter if some things are wrong? :/ it's a children's movie, not a history lesson.

  • not quit as interesting as i remember it to be but okay

  • @Ems15196 i know what movie youre talking about..i just finished watching it.. Amberinthechi is the user that uploaded it!!

  • What's going on?! Why are the bad guys there? Is this WW2?

  • @The1GreatEscape its more around ww1 when the russians pulled out of the war for there revolutuion i think its when they turnd communist and i think the idea was to sort of say the communists are the bad guys

  • GO RUSSIA!!!!! <3 I love it there. :D

  • do you have the version of Anastasia that was release in about 1995 and was a child friendly version. The only thing I really remember was that a guard took her away when he realised she was alive and that they lived on a farm kind of place and near enough to the end she say "I remember everything". She wore this blue dress and white mitten thing on the cover of the film. If you can find it, please upload it and send me a message

  • @Ems15196 its called enchanted tales Anastasia

  • the royal family had like 3 or4 girls and 1 son

  • this is historically incorrect there was an extra daughter

  • @historylover321

In acutally history, the Tsar had four daughters and one son.

  • @1987AnimeBoy you just repeated what I said

  • the harp says never say never then she says we must NEVER go back!

  • 2:32 yeah yeah that ish look like a toupee....

  • OMG!! I'M CRYING SO BAD AND I HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED ALL OF IT YET! Just by seeing the castle and listenign to te music of my fav fairytale when i was young... it's been so long.. thank you!

  • Aha whenever I tell people about this version of anastasia, that her family were reincarnated as musical instruments, they look at me as though im high, but they'll never understand ;)

  • Oh my goodness. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU. I could cry right now. This is the Anastasia version I grew up on. It brings back so much to find it. Many thanks <3

  • Lol, yup replace a gullible tsar with an idiot. Even more inaccurate than Anastasia. WHat are they trying to teach children.

  • did anyone notice at the beginning when they introduse Anastasia's family you hear the instumentsthey turn into?

    Father (tuba)

    Mother (harp)

    Sister (cello)

    brother (accordean)

  • I like the other movie more were she forgot who she is or was and grew up in the orphen and reunighs with her grandma in the end and find true love

  • She looks like Ariel!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LAMEST, MOST RETARDED MOVIE EVER.

  • wasnt there five children?...im lost and confused...

  • omg i rember this

  • Oh, goody a Beauty and the Beast rip-off

  • My, god what shit. The tsar and the tsaritsa had 5 kids, not 3 and why's Nokolay II fat.

  • Awwww she crying like socks the monkey. 11:35

  • the guy in the beginning did not mention Olga and Maria

  • There's no Maria or Olga. ;-(

  • They left out Olga, the oldest, and Maria, the second youngest. The order of birth was Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexi.

  • Um I'm pretty sure they left out two of the daughters in the royal family.

  • NOTE!!!!!!:

To the people that dont end up liking this..

I put this on for all the people that watched this when they where kids and have been looking for it forever. so if you dont like it; Dont comment and Dont watch it again....i think thats pretty easy...Thank you

an also to the fantastic people that have loved this movie no matter what :) i love you all <3

  • @UnknownAngel261 Hello, i would reply to the post you commented on my channel but for some reason it wont let me go on it? Hahaha no worries! I was so fed up with people moaning.. it was a simple, lovable film... it amused us when we were kids and this film is amazing :') <3

  • @UnknownAngel261 Thank you so much for uploading this! For years now I couldn't find this movie anywhere, I couldn't even remember what it was called.. I used to have this on video when I was a lot younger.. I've missed it, so glad you've uploaded it.. Thank you!

  • Well they at least got the names right... NOT!!!

  • each instrument looks like one of her "family" members

  • @SupaSmartCellistGirl That would be the idea....

  • OMG WTF IS THIS SHIT?! so disrespectful to the tragedy of this family.

  • OMG, are you f*cking serious!!! I can't belive I've found this film again after all these years!! When I was little I had this on video, and I LOVED it!! I'm 17 now and I honestly cannot believe I'm just about to watchi it again. Nostalgia is gonna hit me hard I think!!

  • Soo......her father left her daughter behind?

    What a douche!

  • what happened to her other 2 sisters?

  • Onostosia

  • Oohh kaayyy.... Beauty in the Beasst.....?? Wait, no. This is supposed to be about Anastatia ..........

  • love his accent and how he murders all the words

  • SHE DOESN'T HAVE A NOSE!!!!!!!

  • thank you

  • First off, the Tsar looked absolutley nothing like that grey-haired short chubby charicature... he was still fairly young, tall and of medium build; and second, the Royal Family had multiple palaces across the country in which they lived, though the most prominent (and the one in which the revolution of 1917 occured) was the Winter Palace in St.Petersberg, not Moscow... I guess I shouldn't be complaining, its a childrens cartoon, but their impression of the bolshevik's is dead on for some reason

  • Look at the picture of Nicholas!! Aha ha!!

  • Can you upload the Sony wonder version please and thank you

  • Is it me or is this the same director that did the OTHER Titanic movie?

  • Ooo god this was one of my favorite movie when I was a little girl ;)

  • why are her family instruments??? how did that happen?? and why did she not turn into an instrument??

  • Excuse me for asking but, just what the hell is this?? I mean come on, instruments? Not to mention the fact that they forgot Anastasia's other older sisters, Olga and Maria. Oh and I'm pretty damn sure that Alexei was not very strong. He had hemophilia, and was therefore constantly sick and frail. I know it's a cartoon, but 20th Century Fox made a cartoon about the same topic and it was phenomenal, not to mention that compared to this it didn't get that many facts wrong.
