  • Dunno, hard to tell his ralph from his norton

  • This guy is not very good, seen him years ago, i know guys in the neighborhood who can do better.

  • bahhhh David Letterman is so young!

  • Once started doing voice overs for Bugs Bunny, Daffy, etc, all this shit was behind him.

  • he reminds me of john candy :L

  • I love it how he has to take his glasses off before he does an impression.

  • thats horatio sans

  • Wow this is when David Letterman was young

  • He did the best as Stinkie.

  • Nobody comes close to Frank Welker. Frank is by far the greatest ever, he can do any sound effect as well.

  • Has he lost weight now? He looks fit to burst there.

  • unless there's a fire? what the fuck?

  • how much does this guy look like john candy

  • @confessionsofagasman aaa c'mon ur saying that just because they are both fat

  • omg! I remember him where is he now?

  • THis guy missed his calling in life. He should have starred in film biography simply called "GLEASON" the great one. He would have been perfect for the roll. Hes aged too much at this point. SUX.....would have made him a household name

  • the frist one is Josh from Drake & Josh LOL :)

  • @4age06 have you seen The Honeymooners?

  • @Excalion88 Yeah its Ralph but I still think its Josh from Drake & Josh

  • I miss his Daffy Duck.

  • He looks like like Dana Snyder

  • Greatest Vocal Impressionist??? Not hardly.

  • This fat bastard sucks ass

  • @kalzone2112 wow your very judgemental

  • @Robo1415 um, it's called Dave chappelle

  • Not to take anything away from mr. Alaskey but..

Andre-Phillipe Gagnon is the best vocal impressionist IMO.

  • Comedy today is in trouble...Where are the Jackie Gleasons,Red Skeltons and Lucille Balls?

  • Cheers Ultimessence,

    Brilliant Excellent video !

    Loved the voices !

    Thumbs up and Many**********stars !

    Peace Always ! Chaz

  • This guy doesn't come close to the talent of Rich Little

  • It's Grampa Lou from the "Rugrats"

  • mel blanc was awesome too :D

  • reminds me of john candy !

  • Uncle Beano was prolly 1 of my favorite Tv characters of all time...Out Of This World was also a very underrated show,as well...

  • hes the best jackie gleason impressionist ive heard yet.

  • This guy is not funny at all. Rich Little is the greatest ever

  • who the hell is this????????

  • Damn! Letterman still talks the same!

  • Uncle Beano!

  • The Don Knotts impression should have went like this:

    "ooooOOOOOooOOOOHHHHh aaAAAAANNNDddyyyYY!"

  • Looks like you're thinking of Floyd the Barber

  • That was a horrible Don Knotts impression...

  • @TreR90 Sounded more like Roger Rabbit doing a bad impression

  • gleason wasn't that skinny

  • He does Grandpa from Rugrats =)

  • frank caliendo is the greatest

  • Close, but not quite. Good try though. He does have a unique natural voice though, so I'm sure he doesn't need to just to impressions.

  • thats a great don knotts!

  • A lot of people don't know that Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble were based off of the Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton characters...I wonder if there's a really good Dave Letterman impressionist.

  • @fishandfestival

    YES. Joe Piscopo

  • @Darkez982 That's true...I remember seeing Joe's Letterman impersonation on SNL...He and Eddie Murphy were great during their tenure on SNL...Martin Short is a very good impersonator/impressionist as well.

  • pow right'n tha kissa

  • He's good but he's no Mel Blanc

  • Where have *I* been? I never heard of this guy Joe Alaskey until just now. He's terrific!

I hope I get to see him doing an impression of Jackie Gleason telling his wife that President Nixon just showed him the preserved frozen bodies of dead extraterrestrials. Yes, it seems Gleason really did tell his wife that. C'mon, Alaskey, please do that story for us!

  • Jackie, John, and Joe all in one man....Joe

  • Joe Alaskey has taken over many of Mel Blanc's characters -- check imdb

  • how come i never heard of this guy...too bad he's disappeared

  • funny stuff great jackie gleason

  • He looks like Josh Mostel.

  • Looks Like a God of Impressionisimn

  • Stand-up originated with the advent of household TV---I was there and remember.

This guy is as good as Rich Little and better than Gorshin----though I've never heard of him. My guess is that he had a fatal flaw that kept people from hiring him.

  • @oysterjoe He is very busy doing his voice overs for all kinds of cartoons and for Disney channel. Believe me, he is not starving!

  • @twofeathersnmi Please check out my impressions too. People are saying they are very good.

  • @twofeathersnmi by the looks of his 2nd chin he wont be starving for quite some time

  • @taetae121282 He is quite thinner now

  • This guy is AMAZING! Wow. I guess he was way before his time - in the 80's, stand-up just started to take hold. I hope he is using his talent in a very profitable way.

  • Grandpa from Rugrats FTW!

  • I bet that guy's eaten some burgers in his time.

  • He's still alive.

  • For all those that keep harping on his weight, this is an old clip. He is much slimmer now. And I have some sobering news for you 20 year olds....considering our rising obesity rates and metabolic changes as we age, you guys will soon be fat asses yourselves!

  • He seemed like a great guy

  • what a dork

  • *random pointless fat insult*

HEY EVERYBODY LOOK I'M USING THE INTERNETS!

  • OMG i love this guy!

  • Errrm.....not very funny, sorry just what I think.

  • NORT'N!!!

    NORT'N!!!!!!!

  • He is really good, his only really amazing impressions are daffy duck and Sylvester the cat.

  • This man is highly underrated. I don't know why many people are putting him down. His impressions are great! I love his impression of Ralph! It's on the dot! When I first watched this video, I was in tears.

  • yeah... being fat is not a talent

  • He's certainly very good, but "greatest"? I can 't see it...unless you meant regarding of the size of his waist, in which case I'd say he's greater than Frank Caliendo.

  • That was the worse Don knotts ever lol

  • "One likes to imagine this classic homage was actually SEEN by the Great One himself!"

He eventually did, as Joe dubbed some lost episodes of "The Honeymooners" at Jackie's request

  • Ummm not so much.

  • He does a lot of voice work for WB these days- he's one of the people to replace Mel Blanc.

  • Let me guess - He died at a reletivley young age on a coke over dose during the height of his 3 year career? People tend to call "decent" people the "greatest" when that type of thing happens...

  • he's really funny. Check this one of him

    youtube.com/v/WgdjDgX784g&amp

  • This is incredible.

  • Great post. I liked the information in the description as well.

  • does this guy do any john candy impressions?

  • @guitarnerd19 does this guy do any 300 pound fat-ass impressions?

  • I would scoff at anyone denying that the greatest ever was (and possibly will always be) Rich Little. /watch?v=78sSn3E_Vvc is convincing enough, yet he did at least a thousand times that much material. Even with that unbelieveable amount of output and longevity, it is clear that his sense of high standard meant that he never, ever tolerated putting out anything close to lame.

  • @decapitatespammers You can't say one is greater than another. They are all pretty brilliant if you ask me and certainly do things the average man/woman cannot do!

  • @decapitatespammers i hope his recent appereance isnt close to what it was a long time ago....cuz he's not the greatest

  • @decapitatespammers But as good as Rich Little is, remember that the great comics were originals, not impersonators. There's a huge difference. There's a lack of originality today in all areas of entertainment and I'm not sure if it's anyone's fault but just that it's all been said and done already.

  • @49kasey I am a great lover of comedy yet I agree current pickings are very very very thin. Carlin's death was the hugest blow, while some still live but have faded from the spotlight (e.g. Martin) . Louis CK is one with original material you might appreciate, though his edgy risqueness (clever, not just shock value) may be off-putting to some.

  • @decapitatespammers I really like Russel Peters. He's an East Indian stand-up comedian from Toronto who has two entire shows on youtube. They're all split up but check him out. He's genuinely funny without resorting to profanity. I'll check out Louis CK.

  • @decapitatespammers I've been watching a series of videos called "Shameless" with Louis CK. My sides are hurting really bad! The guy is really hilarious in a naturally expressive way. Thanks for telling me about him.

  • @decapitatespammers

Seriously?? I always thought Rich Little sucked. Many times he would pop up on the tv in the 80s doing his lame impressions. They always had that "Rich Little" brand to them. Seemed like a joke to me. Since then there have been some amazing talents that sound so convincing that its scary.

  • @highnote606

Rich little was the best. Impressionists barely hit the radar anymore. Little was so good that he made being an impressionist alone a career.

  • bad

  • he looks like a fat pig!

  • The thing about impressions is that all of these actors or completely irrelevant at this point.

  • hes so goood

  • Not many people realize this.... but Joe Alaskey took over the voice of Daffy Duck after Mel Blanc died - - and he's absolutely friggin GREAT at it.... Mel would be pleased, I'm sure.

  • @jzerony he definitely sounds like a duck thats for sure lol

  • @sonny0986 heh heh... when you get a chance, look for his Duck Dodgers cartoons here on YouTube - there are quite a lot of them, and you'll see what I mean. Not only does a dead-ringer daffy - but he's got really funny delivery too. He GETS it....

  • He was good :)

  • Sorry but Mel Blanc is the greatest. not this guy.

  • was comedy easy back then...?

  • @50sgreaser1

    no

  • looks like a mix between jackie gleason and rodney dangerfield

  • Impressions of dead actors from 50 years ago will not get you on Letterman nowadays..

  • hitchcock was awful, peter lorre was good though. and probably not forgotten, but just completely out-dated lol.

  • frank caliendo

  • Pathetic...

  • Pathetic...

  • It all begins and ends with Rich Little.

  • @buffalobraves9 Little was a fine technician, but unfortunately insisted on writing his own material. He also never changed with the times.

  • This guy sucks a dick!

  • cnat hold a candle to frank caliendo

  • well he is the voice of rugrats ,daffy duck , etc and about 60 other cartoons..he must be pretty good

  • MEGAAAgay

  • gay

  • Ok at Best - Hardly Greatest

  • wow he was amazing !

  • no way near the greatest impressionist

  • Whoa Letterman has hair!!!

  • Hardly greatest.

  • I also disagree, Mel Blanc was without a doubt the greatest!

  • He was a good impressionist and a good performer, but he wasn't "the greatest".

  • if only most of the ppl who watched this watched the honeymooners :( oh Jackie Gleason, oh Art Carney, I'm 18 and I've watched ever Honeymooners episodes and all of them made me die of laughter

  • @presidentkennedy1 .... In high school, do they teach you to spell the word "people" that way?? WHY does everyone under 30 do that now?? They'll spell out EVERY word completely (just like YOU did, with the exception of "every"), but when it comes to "people," vowels suddenly don't exist! I don't get it.

  • @Tre404 because ppl are in a hurry to do things now, like right now, I don't have to type out an explanation but I am and in the quickest way possible. Especially on youtube, you want to watch the video, comment, move on to the next one, real quick like... And then there is also this limited characters comment to think about too, and if you want your entire comment to come up with no words missing, then you have to make some sacrifices and shorten some up.. before complaining stop and think

  • @Tre404 Wow u must b new to snding msgs....Way ovr 40 here

  • Maybe in him time he was. Not now.

  • I beg to differ kernslkorn.

  • Never heard of him? He's good

  • Couldn't hold Rich Littles mic.

  • MY FAVOIRITE FAT GUY IS THIS MAN!

  • he sounds like peter griffin

  • His Wm. Shatner is killer.

  • I bet if he did an impression of himself his head would explode.

  • His Art Carney and Gleason were very good. Don Knotts, not so much.

  • HIs voice was too high as Don KNotts. Dana Gould did a better one. But his Peter Lorre was good.

  • I agree, and the accent was far too understated, as well. You have to make the Don Knotts accent way over-the-top for it to work. Dana Gould actually had to re-record Don Knotts' lines for an episode of The Simpsons where Knotts was to play himself, because Don Knotts didn't sound enough like a caricature of himself.

  • His Knotts actually could pass for a decent Norm MacDonald...

  • dude's gotta be 300 pounds easy.

  • He is the NEW voice of Daffy Duck.

  • isn't it great? :)

  • Definitely looks like Jackie Gleason.

  • @lacristina85 POW RIGHT IN THE KISSEH! lol

  • meh, his mr furley was OK

  • He did the best Nixon in the movie Forest Gump.

  • This guy is a true artist!

  • LOOKS LIKE JOHN CANDY

  • this guy is good but not as good as Mel Blanc

  • perfect

  • well

he definitely looks like hitchcock ;)

  • Not disagreeing, but I think he looke like Ralph Kramdem from the HoneyMooners

  • I think this guy captures more of the character than Caliendo. He's very good , fantastic , at some of the voices, but has the mannerisms down pat . Rich little was great too,but had a different cast of characters he impersonated. No one impersonator is great at all of them. They all have their nitch.

  • Joe use to be in this short lived sitcom about a teenager discovering her dad was an alien, which gave her powers to freeze time.i forget what it was called, but Joe Alaskey played her uncle

  • Surely, you don't mean "Out of this World"? I loved this stupid show.

In a weird way it reminded me of that other popular sitcom "Small Wonder" with Vicki the robot!

  • nth special

  • This guy is no where near the greatest vocalist of all time... Rich Little is and always will be the best. Period.

  • Rich Little was the best with celebrity impersonations, but a guy who flamed out kind of early, David Frye, was peerless when it came to politicians. I had his album, "Radio Free Nixon," and his Nixon riff was absolutely perfect.

  • disagree i think frank caliendo is the best

  • I second that

    He's unbelievable !

  • Im embarassed to say I never saw Mr. Alaskey before today. The guy is a genius.

  • I've always liked him a lot too.

  • lol, great voice acting i adore this guy already and now is the first time i heard of em!

  • not better than Frank

  • anyone know what song starts to play at the end of this video

  • @kironde22 The song sounds like "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harem.

  • Whiter Sahde of Pale

  • Joe is Daffy Duck, right? =D

  • Mel Blanc did all the voices

  • I meant Duck Dodgers. He does his voice, right? X]

  • Ya i think i will have to disagree on the "Greatest" part also...
