In AC1 you kinda get bored in the cities because it looks like everything is the same, no shops, only walking people and you don't haev anything to do except the mission. In the other AC you have what is called free roam. As for the fights, AC1 is the best i agree

@DreadNawght Idk, I don't really like the money aspect of the new games. I liked it better when you just pickpocket what you need. I HATE the armor, ugghhh. I'd rather just stick with the white assassin robes than have all kinds of different colors and outfits. Execution streaks are alright, but I feel it makes the combat WAY too easy. Hookblade is not needed. Assassin signals, again, not really needed. I don't think I even used them in any of the newer games(besides when they made you)..

execution streaks makes it easy, except for janissaries in ACR. But the fights were the best in AC1, they looks more powerful than in the other AC. Double blade looks more beast than a hookblade replacement. Assassin signals would be good if the fights were not as easy as they are. In my opinion, all ubisoft had to do was to make a hard difficulty for players like you and me. Although AC are a good game series, with good plots, good gameplay, they are unfortunately too easy

one thing that i liked about ac1 was the facial expressions when altair is fighting. when altair kills a guard, the guard actually looks like he is in pain unlike the ac2, acb, and acr, they all just have the same expression. and altair is a badass!!!

In my opinion, one of the most underappreciated games ever made. Ubisoft really did their research; the gameplay is amazing, the graphics are lavish, beautiful and smooth even by today's standards, and most importantly, the story is incredibly intelligent and its main protagonist, Altair, has been added to my personal Top Five Fictional Characters of All-Time list. I've beaten this game with complete synchronization twice and am still not bored with it. I could play it now and be just as happy.
